Knytt Stories is a sequel to the game Knytt. Nifflas has outdone himself yet again, this time he's made a level editor and support for add-on worlds!

If you're not playing this right now, go get it. You don't know what you're missing.

(Yeah, it's so awesome it deserves its own thread.)

That's because all the losers who actually think Xkeeper's not an ass took all this board's activity with them.

maybe blackhole89 will be kind enough to activate LOL mode soon in an effort to get some activity

Actually I just didn't really care for any of this guy's games, and am unwilling to give this one so much as a chance.

I have the WaDF2 engine. I'm working on my own WaDF2.

Whee, I found a way to reach a glitched/unallocated area in the "A Strange Dream" level.

Left-hand side: You get these two pictures in rapid succession, while still being able to move your figure, although in the typical glitchy "gliding through walls" way you might know from abusing SMW.

Right-hand side: Quick explanation on how it is triggered.

Wow.

Nice find, I'll go turn that in to Nifflas on his forums.

There's some good third-party levels out there, but most are junk.

I had already found a much easier way to get inside the walls in a different place in "A Strange Dream". This way involves abusing a tile the author forgot to mark as a wall.

Oh well, he already fixed that bug.

I really like the smooth control of this game. Only tried the level that came with the game though and finished it. That level is a bit bigger than it's needed.

You've likely only shut off the obvious machine, Ailure.

You probably still have four keys to get and a second machine to turn off.

Open your savefile, you'll be in a Congradulations screen. Climb up and right.

There's three more keys only in Normal mode.

I sorta assumed I hadn't found everything, when I could exit the congratulations room.. and one of the keys I gotten was unused.

Keys never go away.

Check the Nifflas support forums for help on finding the other keys.

Well, one of the keys wasn't used at all I mean.

...and I found another one by fluke. Only one key left.

Which key would that be?

Spoiler:
Blue key is near the column of wind to get to the snow place
Yellow key is in the umbrella/spikes area
Purple key is via a large jump in an area just before the Double Jump

It was the red key.

Only the yellow key left. In process of obtaining it right now.

Edit: And finished the game. I go and try the other official levels...

I love the fact that Nifflas put real enemies in the sequel. The first one was great but the lack of challenging enemies was kind of an issue for me.

Eh, seemed to me that the emphasis was put on exploration anyway for the first one.

Yea, the environments really made the game. I'm turning 20 on Wednesday and I can't believe how many times I thought to myself while playing both games "Ohhh, that's soo cute!"
