- Really fucking hot. 120 in summer is death.

Bah, 90 with humidity is worse.

I don't know. My eyes feel like they are burning in 120+ weather.

You live in Columbus? I live in Springfield! I'm, like, 40 miles away from you!

I used to live in Columbus, back when I went to college. I went to a place called Bradford School, located near Easton, east of Columbus. But that was four years ago...

As for Springfield, I think it's nice around here. Most everybody else I know can't wait to get out. Only one decent arcade, and it's closed during most of the winter.

Otherwise, a relatively decent town.

San Diego, California.

Good:
-Sunny a lot
-Coast
-Not a lot of "bad news"

Bad:
-A lot of ghettos
-Weather changes faster than you can say this sentence.
-Right at the border. (Uncle arrested for inadvertently smuggling people )

It's nice in some areas, but in others, it's really ghetto. Not so much gang fights and stuff, just overall... ghetto.

Mid-Hudson Valley, New York. >>

Pros:

- It's pretty. Sometimes reminds me of Switzerland, as far as the landscape goes. With more funky tree colour changing stuffs. Yup. Tiny little mountains are amusing.
- Nice range in weather for the most part. So far it's been a weird winter though. First big snow last week. Then again, I hear the weather's weird pretty much everywhere, lately. (Obviously not in Henderson, NV, though? ;p)
- For right now, I don't really have to do much other than cleaning. Then again.. well, that becomes a con, so I'll list that down there too. :< But not having much by way of responsibilities is a sort of mixed blessing. I don't have to do much, but of course, I should. heh

Cons:

-Cleaning! Trying to help someone clean when they've had someone doing their cleaning for them for pretty much their entire adult life (almost 40 years?) is really .. aggravating. And cleaning and having the place messy again in well under two hours makes it feel kind of like bashing my head against a wall. My boyfriend's mom doesn't understand good housekeeping at all, or basic organization of .. anything, when it comes to her house. Her style of 'cleaning' is to supervise. And I hate being supervised. heh. She also has this 'cleaning lady' who comes, but all she does is run the dishwasher (which is easy), and does a bit of laundry (which, granted, I'm happy for, because I hate doing laundry. With a passion.). Anything else she 'helps out with' is incredibly half-assed. She 'sweeps the floor' and only covers basic open surface area. It's annoying. She might as well not do it at all. We have 4 cats. One of them is really sick; she throws up all over the place, and .. goes to the bathroom on any available soft surface (couches, beds, etc.) She has meds, but they don't seem to help. And with four cats.. that's a lot of cat hair floating around. Among other things. Bleh.

- I don't know many people here. All but maybe.. 4 are people whom I would consider to be 'mere' acquaintances.
- I miss my family and friends. I miss out on a lot of things happening while I'm here.. people needing surgery, people dying, people getting married, having kids.. that kind of thing.
- I'm not a US citizen, so I'm not used to how things work here. Even finding things when I want to cook is sometimes weird. Different brands, and such. *shrug*
- Again with the US citizen thing.. I don't have nearly as many options as to how I live as I would if I was living in Ontario. (I can't work here, and such.)
- Health insurance is expensive and aggravating. Filling out forms for every little thing, not being able to buy my medication here, etc. Having a health condition and living in a country where getting anything treated costs either me or an insurance company a huge amount of money is.. x.x; Four thousand dollars to find out the cause of a severe migraine? Yeesh.
- I don't really like living here, overall.

I'm very much thinking about moving back to Ontario; I just haven't figured out how, or when, or what I'll do once I'm living there, and ..such. Oh, and then.. my boyfriend hates where we live, but he doesn't want to move. Which makes my decision more difficult. But that's a whole other story, so.. Rawr. :x

I live on-campus at Rensselaer Polytechnic.

Pros:
- College is nifty in general
- Almost everybody is still awake up until at least three in the morning
- The food is so terrible that you can't gain a freshman 15
- Lots of extremely good martial arts clubs
- Interesting courses
- Gino's Pizza
- Fortune Star
- Beautiful view of the city at night

Cons:
- Troy, the town around campus, is incredibly sketchy
- Miserable view of the city during the day
- There are 3 guys per 1 girl
- There are nowhere near enough artistic people
- I have to climb down 9 feet of random chairs and desks with no ladder to get out of bed in the morning
- The food is so terrible that you can't gain a freshman 15
- Every food establishment other than Gino's and Fortune Star
- The entire campus is on a 60 degree slope, and thus made of stairs

View of downtown area from one of the surrounding mountains.

That place is nice! I wanna live there!

Well, are you looking at the buildings of the town, or the nature that surrounds it?

I gotta apologize, because I'm kind of drunk now.

But seriously, if you're thinking of the nature. That's NOTHING compared to what Norway has to offer. But if you're thinking of the buildings; well, that's probably one of the nicest places we have to offer. Though, from my perspective, I was dissapointed with the amount of graffitti here.

I have heard that Ă…lesund (also in Norway) is a beatiful town, but it is much smaller than this one, and I have never been there... yet.

Glencoe, Ontario, Canada.

Good:

Small, peaceful, safe community. No "bad" people. Even the "wrong" crowd are still made up of nice people.

Bad:

Small, empty, nothing to do. Horrible schools.

<!--stupid center and width hack-->
I live in Adelaide, South Australia.

Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, with a population of about 1 million. It is frequently the subject of jokes made by people who live in Sydney and Melbourne.

It is also apparently the murder capital of Australasia; which is what some of the aforementioned jokes are about.

Good
It's a fairly quiet place for the most part. Although this is a bad thing also. On the bright side, not a lot happens. On the bad side, not a lot happens. The Adelaide Hills are beautiful and we are surrounded by lovely things like wine districts and beautiful beaches.

We know how to throw a good party though when something is happening, such as the Adelaide Fringe Festival, or the V8 Supercars or such.

Bad
Can be as boring as hell. Housing prices are going up, out of range of most young people / most people are becoming stuck in the rent trap (inc. myself). Adelaide drivers are tailgating fuckwits.
