I think that being able to add enemies to the gameextends the lifetime for this.

Although, having statistics would make it a little more satisfying.
If you get killed by a Bit Storm, that'll be noted.
If you played God and conquered many foes before dying, that'll be noted.
If you have 55 seconds of OVER SOLL POWER, that'll be noted.

Here's my newest one

The Imperial S-Class "Dancer"

This beast flies around, twirling through space, cutting everything in it's path with its razor fingers. If the hands don't get ya' the super laser will.

Does anyone know how to edit the stats of the ship we use (not just the graphics but like the movement speed (which is what I'm after))?

I don't think we can without hacking the game.

How do I make my enemy ships more skillful in the editor?

You mean show how they'd act at higher skill levels? In the save/load toolbar, at the bottom. Use that.

Oh, I saw that.

I was talking about making them smarter from the get-go.

Like maybe spin around instead of use the front gun (even if the front guns have been shot off)

SHA-312-GZj Garuda Blaze (smallcore/24500)

The Garuda Blaze is a heavy fighter designed for quick, powerful strikes. Its multiple bullet launchers make a frontal assault deadly, and the rear is well-guarded by its weapon-ridden tail. It is prone to overheating, however, and discharges its excess heat through combustion on the exhaust ports behind its wings.

My best help would be to change the core or mount everything on a Panel_Rolling part or something . Really, there needs to be a simple scripting language for ships along the lines of

if (Part(Index).Durability==0) { //If the front gun mount is destroyed (and thus the whole front gun)
PartGroup(AnotherIndex).Play=0; //Turn on the rear gun.
}

That above, IMO, would be brilliant for Fraxy bosses. Of course, for the above, you'd need to be able to group parts

another example:

if (BossLife>=500) { //when the boss has been around for 500 frames
Part(Index).Play=0; //RELEASE THE FIGHTERS
}

Above, a deploy core is turned on (that's the part I used in the example)

Panel_Rolling, eh?

I'll go cut my Big Core, make a Panel_Rolling, and child the core to the rollng panel then.

Okay uh, problem solved anyways

Test Enemy is challenging now.

You can't. Instead, try this:

small core (play:stop, 1 durability). child the rolling panel to that, and your big nice-looking core to that. add parts and boosters so it's not dead in the water figuratively, and enjoy.

I'd found that out five seconds after I posted.

Test Enemy is nice and challenging now, now to add a few more parts to it...

Congradulations! Test Enemy is now Vicious Shuriken!

Now how do I change the weapon colors it uses?

Well, that's about as dumb as a pancake.

Why couldn't the creator(s) of Fraxy have thought that maybe we wanted to add multi-colored weapons?

Dunno, after all the weapon fire is just stored as an alpha mask, really.

I could be mean and add a defense wall to Vicious Shuriken, but then it'd be even harder.

I can hardly beat a freakin' rank 1 Vicious Shuriken.

Maybe I should torture you guys with it

click

(too lazy to screenshot it)

Um, it was a piece of cake. All you need to do is concentrate on one laser at a time, and when they fire, move away slightly and just wait. The lasers don't do nearly enough damage to kill if you just sit there without firing/moving

Yeah, that's the easy part about it.

I'll attach a few homing bullets to it and maybe make a few other adjustments.

And of course, defense wall coming right up

EDIT: Christbiscuits. My walls, when they explode, they take out the lasers too.

Should I make the lasers more durable or just leave it that way?

omg.fed - 0.10MB

It's not too hard, but whatever. If somebody really wanted, they could make something impossible.
