This game is just too awesome to not have a thread here too.

As the title says, I recently discovered Fraxy, a nice little game in which you may create customized bosses and fight them, although the english translation is butchered. There are some pre-made bosses, along with a type of 'scenario' system(called "try" by the translation). It's pretty nice, and it's still being worked on.

EDIT: Oh yes, I almost forgot, there are many bosses and a few other things to download from Here.

EDIT 2: Instead of posting again to clear this up : Music in Scenario mode is controlled by the scenario, that's why things you add don't play there.

Tried it last night and I'm playing around with the editor. I made some sort of rotating boss with boosters on all angles. In between the boosters, there are blades and burners. One insane boss I call, "Ballofcrap" for the sake of boredom and a lack of ideas.

But yes, I'm having a blast with this.

The gameplay and boss style makes a relationship to Warning Forever obvious... I wonder, which of the two games inspired the respective other? (or which unknown to me game inspired both of them, I guess)

Aha. I thought it looked similar to WF. I got that game on my computer. Quite fun, so I should download this too.

From what I've researched its basically based off of Warning Forever. So... yeah. Dunno if it is true or not...

Also, Fraxy is great to waste time with. Add in some Invader Zim musics and you got yourself an awesome experience when playing the game.

very fun

First thing I did was make an enemy though,

Deadalus X, the boss I created

EDIT: And just so you know, I'm not done yet. That version is a pansy compared to the current version

EDIT2: Firepower Ahoy! Deadalus X is Now Available for download!

It´s hard to get every piece on the right place. And to know what numbers are placing the parts on the right distance from the other ones.

God damn I love this game.

SHA-301-SDa Suzaku Dragon (bigcore/16500)

The Suzaku Dragon was developed primarily as an anti-satellite starship, and it shows. Its three huge lasers are no joke, and any stragglers are quickly taken care of by the Cross-Vulcans and Bullets mounted on its core. Those who get too close will feel the wrath of its six bladed wings.

Download

SHA-302-BWb Byakko Wolf (fighter/bigcore2/18600)

The Byakko Wolf was built for both power and speed, and in both categories it boasts exceptional results. Unlike its counterparts, however, the Byakko Wolf relies more on physical attacks, with its retractable blade claws. Its firepower is nothing to scoff at, either. If its countless vulcans don't take care of the enemy, its frontal lasers and, of course, its claws, will.

Download

SHA-303-GTc Genbu Fortress (cancer/36800)

An orbital death platform, the Genbu Fortress is unequaled in both offensive and defensive categories. Its precisely-aimed lasers send screaming death towards unsuspecting enemy starships, and its homing lasers, spreader, cross and bullet vulcans make short work of stray fighters. On top of that, increased shielding and regeneration make the Genbu Fortress a true force to be reckoned with.

Download

SHA-304-REd Seiryuu Eagle (fighter/12800)

Compared to its comrades, Suzaku Dragon, Byakko Wolf and Genbu Fortress, the Seiryuu Eagle is the weakest of the quartet. However, it is the most agile, and despite its size, it holds a numerous amount of vulcans, and a homing laser in the middle section.

Download

SHA-310-CRh Chakra Rain

The Chakra Rain is an attack satellite developed for perimeter defense. Its lack of mobility is more than made up by its insane firepower. Its four lasers cut through enemies like nobody's business, and most enemies are too busy dodging countless to notice, courtesy of the 32 gun emplacements on the satellite's ring, which is only vulnerable at the junctions. While the Chakra Rain's firepower exceeds even that of the Genbu Fortress', it is not quite as hard-shelled.

BeamCruiser Mk. 3
Specially designed by the intergalactic federation for large-scale war, the Beam Cruiser Mk. 3's main weapon consists of it's namesake, a large laser beam weapon. The cruiser also sports a multitude of vulcan turrets and power ball emitters. The forward core powers the front weapons and main turret, ad well as the armouring on the cruiser. The rear core powers additional weaponry, and the Main Cancer Core powers the inner hull of the cruiser.

Raven Mk. 3
A medium-scale attack fighter, the Raven Mk. 3 consists of a few thrusters and several weapon sets. Of particular note are the two blade arms which can be used to directly attack larger warship and swat away smaller fighters. two repair units maintain the integrity of the main body while the vulcans and bullet shooters protect the Raven from a distance.

I can't think of a better name for this thing other than The Ass Raper. Not really shown in the picture are the two homing laser guns. I'm going to tweak it a little and release it.

So I tried to make something
Needless to say, this goes in the try/ folder. Directory structure should be preserved.

It is mildly challenging. Have fun.

I suck at making bosses. Managed to make a lagfest, though. probably 30+ lasers, and assload of homing lasers and whatnot.

I made a real name for it and I think I'm going to release it actually.

The Rolling Cutter
You have to be patient when you fight this guy. Stay out of range of the lasers and then zoom in and try to get them first.

What the hell traps, that's just painful

"Devil's Bane"
Many mysterious constructs such as these are found in the delta quadrant along the Outer Rim. They are so named for their destructive tendencies and the fact that no vessel, military or otherwise has ever survived an encounter with one.

...And here's some more!

SHA-311-SRi Shiva Crown (bigcore2/43800)

The Shiva Crown was designed as a satellite cannon; its laser is meant to attack ground targets. Realizing that it lacked serious perimetric defense, several cross-vulcans and gun emplacements were placed on its ring so as to provide adequate firepower against enemy fighters, and a booster for quicker target chasing. Its biggest offense is in the rear, with its tentacles firing bullets everywhere and plasma rings with homing lasers taking care of the rest.

Download

CP248 Pietrov Rotorkannon F-Series

The Pietrov Rotorkannon F-Series are rotating drones that hover in place and fire every which way. It is mostly used as a dispersion weapon. There are 4 different types of Rotorkannons:

-CP2481 Pietrov Rotorkannon F1: Consists of four "arms" each holding a Vulcan and a Cross-Vulcan in the center. Not really powerful, but it is cheap and mass-produced.

-CP2482 Pietrov Rotorkannon F2: Each of the arms now contains three Vulcans, and the center section has been reinforced with an array of bullets.

-CP2483 Pietrov Rotorkannon F3: The center section has now modified for dispersive fire; and the regular vulcans have been given greater range.

-CP2484 Pietrov Rotorkannon F4: All sections are now equipped with Spreader vulcans, and several homing lasers have been added into the mix. This is the model pictured above.

I got a new one, perfect for showing up during random play.

The Nightmare Bomber
Watch out! As soon as this monster appears on the map it's going on a collision course, straight for your ship, and trust me it isn't easy to dodge. After it's initial rush all you have to do is gun down one of its wings and its done for. It doesn't drop a power up, so it's better suited for random play.
