I thought you were gonna talk about the euro currency.

Well, I have mixed feelings about thunderstorms myself. I used to hate shutting down my computer whenever there's a thunderstorm coming by, but nowadays I have protection against that. We had a quite few over this summer, due to lots of rain mixed with warm weather. :/

Edit: New title good?

Hm, They could be both good and bad. Bad because I´ve to shut down the computer. I don´t know if the protection here is enough to save the computer if it´d be hit. The modem and router isn´t connected the same way as the computer.

The fun thing is that it can be entertaining to watch. And you get time to do other things just sitting in front of your computer.

lol blank cell
Thunderstorms are awesome because they give me a reason to stay inside. Often times I get ideas for songs during thunderstorms too, so they greatly inspire me.

They can be fun or scary at times. When it gets pitch black out in the daytime it gets pretty creepy. Turning off the computer sucks, but watching the storm in return is pretty cool.

This may sound childish in a way, but whenever I hear that buzzer sound from the weather channels warning of severe weather coming, it has given me the creeps since I was little. The worst feeling of fear, with chills going down my spine... yeah..

You guys are wusses. I just stay on the computer during a thunderstorm. Heck I've been on the computer right next to a window after just having got out of the shower during a tornado, and that was just last week. I laugh at the face of danger muah ha ha ha ha!

D:

Thunderstorms are awesome because they give you a reason to go outside and have a drink and watch god's light show.

I normally love thunderstorms, but since moving here and getting DSL for whatever reason rain == shitty connection, so my love for them has fallen somewhat.

They're still awesome, though.

Provided you have a porch.

Bah, you can just open a window and lean out a bit. As long it's not too windy...

We never had a porch at the old house, and that never stopped us.

A little rain never hurt anybody

A "little" rain has ruined countless packs of cigarettes, though.

I think of thunderstorms mostly as a beautiful sight, or as an annoyance when they strike me out of home... I never turn off any technical equipment either, and the only time it even made the power flicker strong enough to force my computer to reboot was when we had a rather out of the ordinary for Europe storm with wind speeds around 160km/h this spring.

I love thunderstorms and a nice drizzle.
Since I'm a laptop owner, I enjoy playing an oldschool rpg (like Tales of Phantasia) while it rains out. Either that or I'll sit in bed and read a good book. And for some reason I enjoy how dark it gets during morning hours. I feel I can get a good, comfortable sleep if I feel like resting for a few extra hours. It's difficult for me to sleep in if the blasted sun is burning through my blinds.

So yes, thunderstorms are win.

Might mention that at my parents house, thunder has fried at least 2 modems and a network card. Lucky it didn´t take the rest of the computer the time the network card blew.

Me and my little brother were playing Rollercoaster Tycoon while it happened and no one had noticed any thunder until the loud bang in the computer room.

In my past two years in college, I had a dorm with a view overlooking the Raritan River. The first time I saw a thunderstorm, I thought aliens were attacking. The night sky was completely lit up.

I LOVE thunderstorms...

Everytime I see one coming, I go get some popcorn and watch the show...
What I like most is lightning strikes that almost make your heart stop...
Sometimes I try to chase the storm in my car so I can watch lightning longer...

There's often a short blackout when there are a lot of wind and/or lightning, but I don't remember having any electric appliance failure because of that. Anyway, if anything went very wrong, my power bar would absorb the damage and save my computer...

The last time there was a power failure, I was watching Hajime no Ippo and this is the last image I saw:

Hilarity ensued...
