Alright, so here's the problem. The sound of my computer is kinda messed up. The "System" sounds are way louder than they should be. And when I go to play a game, or Winamp, or WMP, or anything else that makes sound, I have to turn the volume on my speakers way up. Once I do that, the system sounds (Asterisk, beep, etc.) blast my eardrums out. What do I do? Oh, in case it helps, my sound card is a Sound Blaster PCI512. |

I'm no techie by any stretch, so I can't offer any significant advice, but one thing that has fixed any number of computer issues I've had in the past is simply updating drivers. It sounds like a "duh, obviously" kind of thing, but I've often overlooked that option and then come back to it to see that it fixes whatever problem I'm having, including problems with my sound card that I've had in the past. So, give it a try, I guess, if you haven't already . |

Check the volume control? See if the Wav and the Play sound are both at there max level. |

I somehow can't see the WAV setting being the problem if he gets this during games as well. Try updating your drivers and fooling around with the Volume Control options.
If you don't know where Volume Control is, go to Start > Accessories > Entertainment. ____________________ I like gay porn. It's hot |
