Alternatively, you could ask an admin to take care of it, via PM or otherwise.

Thread editing aside, it shouldn't be possible to submit a titleless thread.

But I think it is possible to submit a textless post!

I agree, and this been a huge annoyance of mine too.

I look into it.

I have a working editthread.php on my local test board. It allows users to edit their own thread tile and icon as long as they are not banned, the thread is open, and the thread is in a forum that they can start threads in. Currently there is no IRC reporting or anything that would require changing the DB schema, such as logging or selective enabling/disabling of self service editing. Also, it does not currently reject blank titles.

If anyone who has server access is interested in uploading it, let me know if anything like I mentioned is wanted. There are only a few things that need to be polished up before it is ready for production use.

The coding style is too good for this board. You'll have to make it worse.

No editthread.php for you, but I added in a fancy function to rename threads in the moderator bar at the top of the page; mods should be able to see what I mean.

I might add in something for moving threads soon as well, seeing as the function that is currently used for trashing threads is powerful enough to handle that as well, so the amount of changes that'd have to be done is minimal.

Edit: done~

Funny how we wind up with Web 2.0 functionality instead of editthread.php.

Still no way of changing the thread icon, but that's about what's missing.

The editthread.php I posted can do that already.

Your code is widely redundant to to the already-present editthread function... besides, there is no real reason to add clutter to the board code by further increasing the amount of files.
The icon editing function can't be said to be of considerable importance; if demand arises, it always could be implemented within minutes anyway...

Stag was right, it's too well coded. It'll only make the already-present board code look more cluttered in contrast.

Apart from the occasional hacks (I blame Xk for most, if not all, of them ) here and there, I don't really see why this should be cleaner than the rest of board2's code is at the moment (NightKev, have you even seen it? ).

I also think stag019 is just being bitter because of not having been given the administrator/board coder position.

Not too much.

Mostly disappointed.

Either way though, even if I did have code access, I would agree with what I said. The coding style Cellar Dweller used there was too good for this board's coding.

If you must hear me say something positive, I will say that this board's coding style is a billion steps up from ABI's coding.

Speaking of that, have you bothered filtering $fid on index.php yet, if($fid!='all')? Oh, and while you're at it, make it use $_GET['fid'], stupid registered globals.

I've seen the code for 1.92 and 1.A2/1.A3, yes. The code for board2, no, but Xk's comments on its horrible coding don't go unnoticed.
