I've already had one taken it...and it was no big deal....oh the pain meds were ever so sweet.

I really want to try to keep at least one "extra tooth", and it might end up being the upper left one.

My two bottom wisdoms, from the look of it, are going to come up right up under my other teeth....not gonna be pretty.

It'll hurt for a few hours (sometimes days) and then I'll be fine for about a month or so, and then they start to hurt again.

It isn't the pain of having them taken out that gets me.. it's all the damnable blood that seemingly pours out until your gums heal. It probably isn't as noticeable if you only have one or two pulled, but try all four and it is all too apparent..

Oh, and the pain meds they gave me were wonky.. Hydrocodone.. That stuff quite literally floored me and left me feeling like the living dead, not fun at all.

Yeah, I had all four taken out about 2 years ago...and it was murder. I remember waking up during the middle of it and asking: "What's going on?"

The dentist told me to just go back to sleep! Couldn't argue with that!

Mine are coming in nearly painlessly, and the only worry is if they'll come in fully (otherwise the remaining tissue on them could get infected)

But otherwise I won't need them removed--thus adding to my shark-tooth style mouth.

Mine apparently grew in a little and then stopped. I have this one tooth thats only barely made it past the gums, and it's been like that for years.

I´ve got all 4 of mine without any major problems. I had a small cavity in one of them. At first, it looked like it should be removed but they fixed that. I got anaesthetics but the damn SOUND from the little drill made me shiver.

My problem with dentists' offices is the intense light right over my eyeballs. Even when I close my eyes everything looks all bright red which bugs the hell out of me.

Oh that definitely bothers the heck out of me too. >8(
I tend to complain about that first thing, and usually they're nice enough to try and adjust it so it doesn't blind me.. but some of them are dumb and don't even try. Bleh to them.

I had to get braces recently, and they hurt really bad at first, for about a week...

Ouch, braces. I had braces for 6½ years. They hurt so bad. And just like you, they hurt really bad when I first got them. Especially since my teeth were screwed up.

Yeah, and the fact that I wear glasses too, I look like a cute geeky girl with glasses and braces

I had all four of my wisdom teeth out last April. The operation was straightforward because none of my teeth were wedged in any difficult configuration. Recovery hurt, but it really wasn't that bad. I mostly slept and got up to take a pain pill now and then, and I ate a lot of applesauce. Yay applesauce. I got my teeth out on a Friday, and I was fine to go back to work on Monday, though it took a few days for me to be able to open my mouth all the way and I had an amusing chipmunk cheek for a while.

I had four molars cut out in order to make room for my wisdom teeth to come in. I still BARELY had enough room. My teeth bunched up a bit on the bottom (after all the trouble I went thru wearing braces, grr) and I get headaches from my teeth hurting. My bottom teeth are wedged together so tightly I can't even get floss inbetween the molars.

They started coming in a bit impacted, pushing diagonally toward the front of my mouth. Took forever for themto straighten up and come in. Meh. Guess I should have had poorer hygene and lost some teeth =P

Oh, man. I had so many teeth wrenched out because they came in odd.

I hope my wisdoms aren't as bad.

for me, i'm 16(but 17 soon), but i can already see and feel my wisdom teeth coming in. i'm kind of worried about the point at which they become painful(i do vaguely recall feeling pain from them about a year ago, however), because i remember my 3 older brothers always complaining about it. what sucks is my family moves so much, have no insurance, and i haven't been to the dentist in about... 3 years. i really need it, although after seeing Speed Grapher, i'm afraid of ever seeing a dentist ever again
