I had to go in for some allergy shots about three weeks ago. The first test was done on my back. To no surprise, it came up positive for cats and dogs. I really find that funny since I grew up with both all of my life and I currently have two cats of my own (plus my roommate has a dog). About a week ago I had to go back to get about 40+ shots into my right arm. That came up with allergies to mold and a certain type of weed.

So thankfully I am not allergic to foods (I was worried about being allergic to cheese and the likes), and if I stay on my meds (which is really helping my asthma) I might be a bit healthier than I have been. While at the allergy/asthmas doctor, I have to breath into a machine, I have improved since the first time I went there, but I till have a ways to go.

The biggest change for me...I don't use my inhaler has much as I used to. I used to take an over the counter inhaler, that I abused and I am so happy to be off of it. before, I would be lucky if I lasted a week. Now, three weeks.

Good for you!
I remember the last time I had to take allergy shots. Those little needle things made my arm itch. And when nothing happened there - as in no immediate allergies noticed - the doctor had to draw some blood. And *STILL* no allergies. (but I still think I'm allergic to school!)

Turns out, after a retest, that I was (and still am) allergic to milk and penicillin. But I already knew that!

I should probably get an allergy test too. I don't seem to have any major ones but it would be nice to know.

My boyfriend has diabetes, so he knows what it's like to deal with a chronic disease like that. I feel sad for people with them.

I don't seem to have any major allergies either, but maybe I should get tested for allergies because I may have one I don't even know about

When I did an allergy test, I just got a number of drops of substances that resembled cats, dogs, grass and whatever.

I was more allergic to grass pollen and grass than to cats, luckliy. But breathing can be a pain during the summer if I donĀ“t take pills.

Allergies during the summer kill me, but I'm not really allergic to much...

Of course, I'm also allergic to cats, albeit...

I'm allergic to dust, or pollen? Something like that ...

We had to get rid of my bunkbed years and years ago when we found that out.

Allergies never really get to me though. The worst that happens to me during seasonal changes is chapped lips.

I know I'm allergic to something. I have to sneeze and blow my nose a lot. When I visit my parents in the country (which I try to avoid doing) my allergies get a hundred times worse.

I don't think I've ever had an allergy test before. In fact, I've never had any kind of test done to me. Except drug.

I know when it gets cold (the three or six days out of the year) it tends to make my breathing a bit worse.

I went through a series of allergy tests quite a few years ago and found out that I'm mildly allergic to just about everything - food, plants, animals, you name it. The only real allergy symptom I get is a runny/stuffy/itchy nose in the springtime when various plants release their pollen. I've never had any breathing or asthma problems.

I don't know what I'm allergic to. But I don't get allergies in the summer and I don't get hives when I eat things so yeah.

People actually think I'm allergic to nuts, which is false - I just don't like them.

Do you think it's possible to be allergic to Sunlight? Every morning, when I wake up, my eyes will get all watery when I go out into the sun.

I am allergic to job interviews.

I'm not allergic to much, if anything--my room is covered in dust, and in cleaning it up I stirred up a massive cloud of it. No reaction. Meanwhile, my cousin sneezed like a maniac.

Then there's the cat. No amount of petting the cat, or even the cat shedding, or such, can make me sneeze.

I may be allergic to something, though. There's these bumps on my face that don't want to go away, and they're like a rash.

Me too, I hate them I got lucky and got a part-time job without one, but I'll probably need one when I go for an internship this summer...

I've had allergies for as long as I can remember, but I think my parents mistook them for mild colds at first. My dad yells at me when I blow my nose even though he knows I have them. Then again, my dad yells at me for everything.

Well, I do have seasonal allergies, I remembered.

September - November = hell.

Same here. Chris laughs at me when I tell him that I don't like nuts. And its a shame too, since there's candy bars out there that look good, but they have nuts in them.

You don't like nuts? ..That's so sad.

Oh well, as far as allergies go.. I'm pretty good I guess. Though something has been causing me to cough erratically as of late.. I don't know what it is, but if it doesn't clear up soon then I'm definitely going to have to go and check in with a doctor about it..

I just hate the texture and the taste.

Trust me, I've had to be picky sometimes because of the no-nut thing... I think you have an excuse to do so if you're allergic but not if you just hate them.

I don't have allergies or asthma, lucky me. Or if I do have allergies, I haven't discovered any yet.

It's nice.
