It's a fucking hell hole, confusing exits, construction everywhere, broken down cars, a semi-truck lost a tire and almost killed me!! I am so happy to be alive right now.... Fuck you I80, fuck you! Worst interstate in the country...

What about I-95 in Massachusetts, from the I-93 Interchange (alright, people going straight are in the "Exit", while those turning off onto what looks like an exit are going straight), to the not one but two wrong-way concurrencies (with US 1 and US 3), to the fact that everyone calls it Route 128 but the green highway signs don't say that... I mean, it's already a confusing mess before you add in ridiculous traffic and the flying sewer grates.

You talking about I80 by the Platte River Bridge there??? or by downtown Omaha??? I'm asking because I remember seeing in the news the other day about how the semi turned over and had traffic backed up for hours by the bridge there.

About the exits though man, if you think I80's exits are confusing, you haven't been in a truly big city... exits there are confusing, I80's exits are a walk in the park.

I never had any problems on I80 last year when I took it to work everyday, and frequently took it to Lincoln from Omaha when I was living in Omaha. I racked up quite a few miles on that puppy without an accident or a speeding ticket, although I had some close calls.

Okay, FUCK Route 95. That road alone is the sole reason why Rhode Island and Massachusetts are notorious for having shit drivers. It's like there's some kind of unwritten law where no matter how fast you're going there is always going to be some asshole who feels the need to travel 15 miles per hour faster.

The interstates around here rock. Around 1999 Arkansas got a large chunk of money from the federal government to resurface interstates. As a result, I-40 is now as smooth as glass. Also, I live about a 10 minute drive away from I-540 between Alma and Fayetteville, which was only fully opened about 10 years ago.

I agree with BooUrns about the roadside scenery in Illinois. The most boring part of the road trip to visit my dad's side of the family in Wisconsin is Illinois. I'm eager to get back to the tree covered hills of Missouri and Arkansas.

I know that it's a bitch over there when winter comes around.

My parents almost drove off the bridge over the Missouri river.

I haven't been to Omaha in over 10 years.

HA HA we don't get any of that in CT. Just a whole lot of unexplained stoppages... unexplained as in "when you get where it's stopping traffic, everything's already cleared up). But ef a dumb 84. You'd think if they're expanding it, they'd connect the drains to the sewers. Or maybe they really like doing construction?
