Jinsei Owata's Great Adventure, a flash platformer I picked up on an IRC channel I am on.
(Jinsei Owata is some 2ch ShiftJIS character, where "Jinsei" means human life and owata means nothing in particular unless it's a corrupted owatta, "ended"... figures)

This game is very obviously made to make you go ARRRGH and generally be mean, but still is strangely addicting.

How far can you get?
(hint: don't use platformer common sense, as it is mostly anticipated by the developers and most often quite deadly; think of nontrivial solutions)

Oh, and yeah... quick and only half exact translation of the key mapping: 

Z - jump
X - Owata Buster (i.e. shoot)
R - retry
There might be other keys you can use~

20 minutes? It probably took me about 40 to get to the final boss in total

spoiler: Right when you've gotten across the spike platform, drop yourself down below it, steering to the left. There's another lengthy path by evading the spike platform coming down and then climbing up its chain (I actually found that one first), but it leads to a dead end.
