Yeah. It's a difference between AC and DC. We use the one you don't. |

Yeah. That's why my DS charger blew up when I put it into the wall socket in France. ____________________ |

Posted by ApophisI assume you never went to a basic course in electricity. AC is usually the "kind" of current that comes from the socket all over the world, while DC is the kind coming from sockets. Some electronics convert AC to DC (such as the power supply on a PC) as digital electronics needs DC. Most countries in USA and Europa uses AC (actually, I yet have to hear about a country where DC comes out of a socket...). However it's the voltage that differs, the voltage is almost the double in most of Europa too. This is alternating current, This is Direct current. FirePhoenix0: How did you manage to put it into a socket? oO Usually they differ over the world depending on the type of current (there's differences in voltage and frequency), to prevent from what just happened to your DS charger. I think the battery would be the same all over the world, however the charger would be not. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I had to recharge my DS battery while I was out camping last week.
Just so you know, 4 AAA batteries in series charge a DS beautifully |

If the batteries are good it charges in about 2 hours (yes, faster that the adaptor XD)
however, if they're low they can turn on teh charge LED without even charging the battery. |
