It adds a digital clock to the main menu, fixes the Standby fan issue, and updates some of the channels.

Only problem... it locks up my Wii while trying to download and install! Help?

EDIT: Wait, nevermind, it's a problem on Nintendo's side, maybe how many million people trying to download today have something to do with it

Nope... nothing happening here... plus others say no too...

Edit: I just checked GBAtemp and everyone there says the fan was not updated so I suggest you continue to keep your consoles off.

You could always buy a fan add-on to hook up to the Wii instead of worrying about the broken internal fan.
