Subcon is a personal project of mine (suprise) where I basically log the weird dreams I have at night.
Of course, if you have questions or desire to inform me of just how fucked up I am (i.e., comment), feel free. People tell me they're vivid... and consider that I'm a horrible writer and I have problems getting my real thoughts out (and a lot of stuff is rather descriptive that I leave out, damn)... In any case, yes, here it is, it's odd, blah blah whatever  ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Those dreams aren't that bad...
not long ago I dreamt I was in a building fighting weired dudes -- I think they were aliens. My family was there, too. For like 5 seconds I became Inuyasha (???) then, they were all gone. my dad and sister ran out to our van. I stood there with my mother. We go to the van, and I see them poof into flames. I then say no, and tell my mother to follow me. I run ahead, down a hill. I have a pistol in my pocket (think I picked it up in the fight earlier) All the sudden 2 FBI agents are chasing me. I think they were both from the X-Files -- one was agent scully. I shot the other one, a guy, and her. Then they both seemingly respawned and I shot the guy, and scully proceeded to question me. She seemed to be on my side. then my mom catches up, with my sister and dad. And I'm like -- I saw you die! and he's like "no". He then proceeds to tell me things that happened while he wasn't there -- got his story mixed up -- obviously he was watching me at some point, but not my real father. And I proceed to explain that he doesn't have me fooled. Then I woke up. and THATS a normal dream. once I dreamt I saw a woman scream in horror as her head was split open with a scalpel. Scared the SH** out of me. and, for some reason, I often dream that I wake up, and know that I'm still in a dream. I think to myself, oh shit, this is a dream. And sometimes I have sleep paralysis in this state. It always terrifies me, and is usually an exact or very close replica of the room I fall asleep in, although it rarely is outside of there. Sometimes people in the dreams try to convince me it's reality after I say "this is just a dream..." to them... from research its called lucid dreaming. And it is annoying as all heck. Sometimes it happens to me several times in the same night. I think overloads of negative stress cause it. See, I have no positive stress relief. anyway, when I'm in this state I have to focus on something so totally -- usually a name, and keep thinking it until I end up forcing my physical body awake and start yelling the name in real life. See, in this state, your mind is conscious but not your body. I've got tons of stories, but even a website like SubCon isn't enough for me. I'd have to write an entire book, and a forum like this isn't ideal for that, so I'll end the post here... unless otherwise requested, of course... |

For lack of a dream log of my own...
Last night I dreamed I was Amaterasu (Okami) without painting abilities - just the leaf-bursting double jumps. But I could triple jump instead. The scenery alternated between tiny barren sandy islands in the ocean and a seemingly endless multi-level platform mansion with okami-style treasure chests scattered everywhere. To go between these areas, I had to triplejump up to swirling sprites suspended in the sky, some individual and some tiled out in a hexagon shape. I felt compelled to get as much treasure as possible while absentmindedly interacting and shrugging off various butlers, bodyguards, etc. I haven't played Okami in several days  and I wasn't thinking about it either. This was after a long night of helping my friend move furniture out of his apartment. |

I had this strange dream one night where I found myself in a house that was all white. There was an out of control party going on and in the center of the room I saw big bird... Big, Yellow, and PLASTERED. He had a party hat on and was yelling stuff about the letter A. I woke up crying because hey, I was like 7 when I had that dream. |

I've had my share of strange dreams.
Pretty much ALL my nightmares were more like abstract things. One in particular I remember was this one: I was playing some strange game on the NES, and all I could see was the screen. It was a Shadowgate-esque game, and the scene was a table with a chandelier over it. The rest of the scene was blackness. For some bizarre reason, the chandelier scared the heck out of me. And that's how it went for about 2 minutes, just that one scene on the NES with the chandelier scaring me. And I had that dream when I was 6. |
