Ok, so we installed a signal amplifier for our cable service. My bedroom has both our cable modem/router (it's a two-in-one), and a television, and it comes from an adjacent room via a very long cable. It's worked for the longest time, the cable internet was fine, the TV reception was much better than without it.
However, recently, our cable internet has been going out a lot. It goes out at night, and works during the day. I think this is because comcast is doing more work (again), in preparation to adding a bunch of digital channels to our lineup. Here's the thing, I unplugged the amplifier, and the internet started *working*. Moreover, it's working at normal speed! I thought that signal booster was two-way, but I dunno. Why does it all of a sudden cause problems? ____________________ |

Well, I guess the signal booster boosts the power of the signal but might be also causing interference in it as well (While the signal get's stronger, it dosen't gurantee a better quality...). I remember us having a such thing when we still mostly used analog terrestial TV, but it worked better without it when we went over to digital terrestial TV. (though we did change antenna as well) ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
