Are you happy? Nobody thinks you were responsible for hacking the board. If you really wanna help, you should stop trolling, and just do what stag is saying you should do right now, and just put it all together in one nice, concise, complete list of things you want to happen and things you think are wrong with the staff, so that it can be read, and you can stop wasting your aching typing fingers complaining. And if you don't want to do this, then it's very clear that you don't actually want to help at all. I see four so far. 1) The administrators are being far too loose with the rules. 2) Talking to them directly about it seems to be ignored. 3) The staff points fingers far too quickly. 4) The staff is very enamored with their server owner status. Keep going. |

Sonic, stop. Let Xkeeper talk. If he wants to help, he deserves a chance, and I think I've been taking the wrong direction by just denying him that at every turn.
Now, X, what specifically do you have a problem with as far as staffing decisions go? And by staffing decisions, I mean the appointments of who is supposed to be on staff and who is not. |

I don't understand what you are approaching Xkeeper with, but you are not a fucking psychiatrist, so give up will you? You are trying to "help" Alex by "breaking" him, but as far as I know, you are just throwing your reputation down the pipes and proving you are just riding the staff train. I'm done with this board, here's my final words:
After 4+ years, it was fun. I enjoyed it here, it was always fun. Obviously, taking residence in a power hungry Germans server was not our smartest idea, and trust makes up a community. When trust is gone, all relationships are out the window. This was a community, now it is one big Fight Club, and if you want to prove me wrong, try your best with your list creating, Grey. I don't know what happened to you, but you have turned on everyone in the past few days, even stabbing at me. I have reviewed all of your points and I see nothing here that is helping fix the real fucking problem with this board; Community. Perhaps when you grow the fuck up (Both you and Blackhole) then things will change, but as of now, you are both children looking for any way to piss people off. "Oh, but Xkeeper started it!" Then he is a fucking child too. Do you think I am afraid of insulting my friend? What about all of that brain-washed zombie bullshit? That's what I thought. Hrm.... some quick points
1. Server admin and Xk don't get along -> Xk leaves or gets the boot déja vu? 2. Someone hacks the board and Xk gets blamed -> Xk attempts to prove it wasn't him. déja vu... 3. Someone says they are leaving in ensuing drama (sonicandfails) deja vu! ack! As far as I can tell, there is no real REAL (board threatening) problem with the board. A board can exist with looser rules and less enforcement. I've spoken to S&T on IRC about this.
Now, Xkeeper, can you please just keep going, and say what you think is wrong? I'm sorry I'm the one who has to do this, because I know that neither of us like each other, but for the love of god, this makes sense and I swear if it's just clean and clear, it'll solve problems. We've got five and a half things so far, and I'm fully willing to admit that I'm the biggest jerk on the board right now, so please, continue. Okay, that's 6. 6) There's too much trolling, and either something needs to be done to make people stop, or some action needs to be taken to punish it. I guess that goes in line with your earlier statement that the administration is too lenient. |

I'm not ultra-ancient, I think integrated the community at the dawn of the 3rd incarnation, maybe the end of the 2nd. But I'm still quite a regular user and I enjoy the mix between specialized discussions (ROM Hacking) and the everyday things and jokes. But I don't think all of this should explode again and make it seem we have to start over. It's not necessary...
Personally, XKeeper is the only admin I know for sure he is (was) an admin. The other ones either don't participate directly in the board, or their status is not revealed. The first time I heard about Blackhole and al., if I remember well, is shortly after the new IRC channel/server was set up (#acmlm on kafuka.org). I was then welcomed by XKeeper, and a few days later, Blackhole, who was a stranger to me at that time, came and started bitching about how some admins were not doing their job on the board and/or channel, along with some other users. To my eye, this was just weird. XKeeper was like the good king who mixes up with the populace while doing the dirty job behind the curtains at the same time... So no offence to the other admins, they are probably doing their best too, but I don't think being strict about banning and moderating is a bad thing. Every community needs rules and a minimum of order. Not Orwell-style, just to filter the unwanted junk... |
