I read random things on Wikipedia sometimes, or type weird crap into Google. Or post at message boards and refresh the index page a jillion times to see if anyone has posted in the past few seconds since I last refreshed the page.

God I wish I knew.
I'm sort of suffering from writers block or.. something.. I can never seem to get anything written lately, no matter how badly I'd love to get my ideas down on paper, it just doesn't happen.. And well, otherwise there hasn't really been much of ANYTHING to do around here... I've been bored to death.

Worse still, I've had a sort of craving lately.. a desire to do something creative. So passing the time with something frivolous like playing a game or something just doesn't cut it for me anymore.. I really need some kind of substance to keep me sane, but I have no idea what it would be at this point.

<!--stupid center and width hack-->
I tried to edit some CSS today but that didn't seem to go very well for me, so I played guitar. My fingers hurt... they're not yet bleeding though.

but ow ow ow ow ow

Now need to do quiet things that don't involve fingers. Hell they even are sore when I type.

I've got a long weekend off- so I'm conducting a code revision on my forum before I start to implement any content tagging or social bookmarking features. I've mainly been seperating interface from business logic, screening input for dangerous content (SQL injection etc), and just cleaning up and commenting code. I've been concentrating on forum.php and its associated class file today, thread.php is being done tomorrow.

I've also got to produce some UML design for my dissertation, so I've just downloaded the latest copy of Suse to install on my laptop so I can use Umbrello. Like all students, I'm basing my design on code I've already written, so I'm going to use Umbrello to import my code to get my design work started . I'm just about to burn Suse to DVD and get installing.

I've also set aside a couple of hours this afternoon to have a shower, scrub my face, pluck eyebrows (ow), and shave my legs. I usually do this on Sundays, but I've assigned Sunday to clean the house.

So, the story is basically all the things I do in my free time- clean my code, clean my computers, clean myself and clean the house. I leave the evenings spare to play WoW with Chad or spend some time surfing, playing Wii or sketching / Photoshopping

Depends, sometimes I draw silly things with Macromedia Freehand MX like these ones:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I also have a girlfriend though our relation seems to end soon. (not my fault, though) and I have alot of parties on weekends.

I kill time with the help of openTTD or The sims 2.

And sometimes screws with something within Java.

Most of the time, I start browsing Wikipedia at random. (As in, go to interesting article, start following links that appear interesting, proceed doing that)
From time to time, I also do things like playing OpenTTD against Ailure... or I actually work on one of my long-neglected projects.

Sometimes I go to the other boards I go to and read ridiculously old posts, or I'll go to wikipedia and look up random stuff... if all else fails I'll dig up some old videogame I haven't played in awhile and play that.

Yeah, I read old posts a lot. And new posts, there are several boards that I lurk at religiously but have no interest in registering for.

Oh lord, browsing Wikipedia for a while is a great way to just waste the day away. I remember one time I started at NHL and found myself at diamonds...

I learned a bit, I'd say.

The computer itself kills boredom. I either browse here, play roms, rom hack, or look around Wikipedia.

I'm reloading this message board and my Livejournal friends page and thinking about practicing piano. I've been sick, and that puts me in a bleh, lazy, and uncreative mood. I have a novel revision in progress and a rough draft that I'm preparing to revise, but I have zero inspiration for either right now. We're in the process of renovating our house, and lately I've been puttering around on That Home Site! to get random ideas and read about what other people are doing, but I don't feel like doing that right now. Meh.

Maybe I should work on a new layout so I'll be all ready whenever they're enabled.

This is what I do to kill boredom.

I also lurk on IRC, visit random articles on Wikipedia, emulate games, and mess around with my computer.

Yes, that's my neighbors' wi-fi cutting out on me again. But I'd rather have choppy, high speed internet than use the dial-up at my house.

Yep. Even unreliable high-speed is way better than dialup. Although in my case, even dialup was unreliable. Maybe it's a Michigan thing. We have no economy, so the Internet service is lousy everywhere in the state.

I make posts on internet forums.

In all seriousness, I usually just talk over IRC or browse message boards. Sometimes I'll play some SNES or NES games, and then sometimes I'll netplay or play RO. That's only if anyone interesting is on though.

Man... I can't stand RO anymore. It just gets too boring too fast.

Seriously, how can people play MMORPGs?

That's kind of what I'm wondering lately. It's gotten pretty boring as of late and leveling is a pain in the ass more than anything. I thought about just quitting again, but there's so much that I want to accomplish... but then, who cares about accomplishing things in online games?

The main reason I still play actually is because there are friends who still want me to play with them and sometimes I honestly genuinely enjoy playing with them... if even in extremely small doses once every few days.
