I have no idea why it says 2300 miles, DC's only about 72 miles away...

When Cox was my cable provider things were pretty good. Since SuddenLink has bought them out, service has become spotty and slow. I randomly get kicked and have to cycle the modem. Both my download and upload speeds have fallen off dramatically. I'm seriously considering switching back to DSL.

Same here, I'm only 50-60 miles from NYC, not 150...

I'm not buying that. I NEVER.. and I mean NEVER get down speeds faster than 150, even from dc++ or IRC xdcc or disgustingly highly seeded torrents. And having something downloading at 150kb/s destroys my bandwidth to the point that I can barely surf the net.

lol blank cell

I use Comcast, and I rarely have any problems. The only problem I had before was when we upgraded to make it faster, which we fixed that problem pretty quickly. The only other Internet problems I've had were when my wireless router decides to stop working for a little while and I have to use the neighbor's internet until I feel like fixing it.

I worked for a broadband service last summer. Horror stories about everything.

Mine is pretty decent stuff, though. I dig the fact that when my room mates aren't around it goes at amazing speeds.

Sorry, but this is yuck. The u/l speed is BS, though - I can upload faster than that.
