Been without internet for 4 days. Apparantly I missed something big...but meh. Tip: Never call AOL for help. |

Tip: Upgrade that fossil! You've still got dial-up? Man, that must suck. AOL Broadband is way better but I still prefer Verizon DSL. ____________________ |

Posted by FirePhoenix0 Tell me about it. I'm on Netzero now, and we're getting high speed within a week or so. "Nothing is wrong with our software, you must have a fatal virus." I'm mad. |

We would use Sympatico but now that we have a router, it makes things less of a pain in the ass. ____________________ Marry off the poptart, I was strutting my horse. Streisand died in Mordor, It's I, yes I, the cyclopse, lol. |

Posted by DarckthunderI got something similar from NetZero: "Right-click on the firewall icon" "Okay..." "Now select 'security level'" "Uhh, that's not a menu item in this version of my firewall" "Select 'security level'" (Geez, I'll just open the program.) "Okay" "Click on 'application permissions'" "Okay" "Check to make sure NetZero is an allowed program" "It is" "Does it work?" "No" "Right-click on the firewall icon..." RRRRRGH! ...It turns out I had to disable the firewall's proxy service, which I only found out after contacting McAfee. I don't remember if we got our money back from calling NetZero or the few months they still billed us after we cancelled. Good luck if you're getting rid of AOL. ____________________ "I'm sick of it and I'm out. See you around." ~Cpu's last post here |
