Last view: 6106 days 		The first board application shuffle thingy actually produced a good staff but it was way... too... frigging... big. If we had 4000 posts/day or something absurd like that, it would be great; but we didn't. (Then again, we still had high activity back then but not that high.)

Like I said in IRC last night, we can worry about staff after the board's a little more complete. I sincerely doubt it's going to be anywhere near the size of the old board, however; and don't ask for staff spots please. (Hi Clockworkz!)

We should probably have a ratio. Keep total admins at 1 or 2. Have x full mods for y-members. Or at least have it based on activity. Total amounts of posts divided by the amount of forums, give the mods a beat and make sure members know to PM them issues.

I just feel like everything changed under my feet and now I'm this person that doesn't belong there.

Given how out of place I feel now, the mod position makes me feel dirty and not in a good way.

But I said I'd give things a chance, and so I shall. There's no point in me leaving in a huff anyway, so I may as well make the most of whatever happens.

Oddly, this place is also full of change, but I guess the atmosphere is less hostile / I feel more at home here.


Like I agreed with what you said there, I still think you've said it best Tarale.

I get on, see 30-40 people got demoted because apparently "we may have hacked the board" or something. It just seemed like a horrible way to deal with something like that, and well ... to demote the entire staff at a time like that? Wow.

Anyways, concerning the new staff, Tomguy didn't bother me, but seeing permanently banned users returning and being set to ADMINS, I thought that was a little ridiculous.

Oh, I also like how Acmlm is no longer an admin there. :O

I actually got my staff position back on the "other place"... I've closed the categories for all the non-ROM Hacking and General Gaming forums there, I'm only staying there for the ROM Hacking forums anyway...

I didn't notice they had revoked Acmlm's admin position... they're not even pretending it's "Acmlm's Board", are they?
