I just feel like everything changed under my feet and now I'm this person that doesn't belong there.

Given how out of place I feel now, the mod position makes me feel dirty and not in a good way.

But I said I'd give things a chance, and so I shall. There's no point in me leaving in a huff anyway, so I may as well make the most of whatever happens.

Oddly, this place is also full of change, but I guess the atmosphere is less hostile / I feel more at home here.

Hostile takeovers (especially from people who are /b/tards and such) are never good, Taryn.

They might not be losing as much activity but they're losing a lot of quality posters. Big problem.

The only thing I'm worried about is that we might be perceived as elitist... which isn't good. Basically if you're not an idiot and don't sound like a 12-year old, you should be welcome here I guess.

Despite trying to be neutral, the renewed presence of several people who had been banned was enough to boil my blood. I have the same sort of feelings as Tarale, with just a few changes. Just going to the first place makes me feel dirty, and I see no point to continued presence over there. I made my 700th post and swore off any further there. Bleargh.

besides, I was always a bit of an outsider on a lot of issues on the board. I just know that at the other board I'm not going to last long with the new crowd that is coming in, unless everyone has changed and dropped their grudges against me. God knows I stopped caring ages ago.

I offered my resignation as Full Moderator of the former board.

Really, just... not comfortable. And I don't think I could act in a proper capacity feeling that way either. Honestly, I try to act fairly as possible. I don't think I would be able to do so, and I'm not happy to risk what little "integrity" I have.

I see no point in remaining in the role if I betray my personal values for it.
