As many may or not know there is a new Trilogy (Final Fantasy XIII - XV) for Play Station 3. Any thoughts on the new Trilogy? Personally I thik it's cool to see this one come out as I played the Nintendo and Super Nintendo Trilogies. And Final Fantasy VII and VIII from Play Station 1. |

I didn't like Final Fantasy XII that much. It was fun the first time but I haven't played it since I finished it, so I just hope the next games in the series will be somewhat more interesting. So far it seems like 13 might be good, but I won't be able to tell until I actually play it. ____________________ 05-04-01 Flare: How is such a dumb topic getting so many replies? Final Fantasy is doing way too well NOT to have a 5th Trilogy. Besides it's going to take time to make Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV anyways. |

Anyone else not give a crap about this series anymore?
I'm serious. I think everyone's waiting for remakes of 7-9...and that's it. Everyone saw a little something in X but every denies its worth against the game that is FF7. No one cared about X-2 that much, attributing it to Charlie's Angels more than anything. No one cared about FFXI THAT much...and no one really knows why Famicom whatever rated XII a perfect score. And considering the high point of most of this, Uematsu, is pretty much finished with the music of the series...I'd say there's not much left for this game that should've marked the end of a gaming industry over 20 years ago. |

Hey, hey. I'm looking forward to the FFIV remake, at least, seeing how it's a legitimate remake and not just another port. Supposedly it's going to be about 4x as long as the original version, and contain everything they had wanted to put into the SNES version, not just everything they did put in.
Weren't they planning on not releasing an FFXIV until 2017, anyway? |

I haven't given up hope on FF yet, XII was okay, X was also okay, I think it's entirely possible they could come back from the recent "okay"-ness and bring a great game again, they did it with IX. It's not like X and XII were utter crap. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Like a cool picture, my 8-bit theatre character test result, my MS and RO characters... But it's 12 AM, and I'm sleepy. |

XIII atleast, is a PS3 exclusive, I can't see them porting it, since it's designed to be an exclusive, anything is possible for XIV and XV though, I doubt they've even started work on them yet. As to SqareEnix and multiplatform, they plan to support all three consoles, but with different games. As in, every console will get different exclusives from them. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 4 cry at night. I wouldn't mind another FFXII-like game as long as it wasn't FF(insert roman numeral), but a separate game. |

Eh, you might be right, but then it'd atleast have to be a port that takes a hell of a long time to make, if my memory serves me correctly, the rendering engine it uses(called the "White Engine" or something to that effect) was coded specifically to work on the PS3's advantages, they'd have to redo that for the 360's advantages, which, I imagine would take a very long time. As to FFXII style - We don't even know what the game styles are yet, I hope one of the two games (XII and completely different versusXIII, not very creative title) is more like pre-XII games. ____________________ There are things I want to put here.
