Whoops, accidentally overwrote that picture. Anyway, this is my new theme. Same desktop, but my WinXP is now skinned to look like Vista. I find that cool.

My current theme, out of about 9 I rotate through. I think I'm gonna stop and keep this one, however.

EDIT: Yeah, I know it's VERY old. I rotated back to it last month and am keeping it since.

Wow... I never thought anybody would still be using RHL 7.2 (or any version for that matter)... it's just plain fucking old

Are the animated desktops worth the CPU power they consume on Vista? Just wondering if the animation is pretty smooth or choppy (on a fairly fresh install of the OS, I guess, since it'll always get choppy at some point if you put enough garbage on your drives).

Here I am, stuck using 2000 :/.

Even if I had Ultimate, I wouldn't use the animated desktop. It would be rather pointless for me, since I hardly ever see my desktop because it's too cluttered with windows.

In theory (theory being efficient programmers), animating a desktop could have worked without much of a performance hit as early as 10 years ago.

But yeah, theory.

Either way, my current laptop desktop.

Well, that bites, ten years ago means I'd even have been able to have one . However, I do see the fact that it's not going to be much use if there are always too many windows open, or if one of them is maximized all the time (the latter is my case).

I really need to watch more of that particular subseries, it got hyped down enough that I was discouraged from viewing it.

Star Trek: Enterprise (I don't know about the movie coming out, but the desktop just reminded me that I haven't seen those yet. Not that the desktop is actually -about- that or not, sorry I didn't clarify :x).

Star Trek: Enterprise sucked... though to be honest, Voyager sucked more

the desktop particularly is about the new movie coming out in a year. Based on (and it's a prequel to) the original Star Trek (which kicks ass).
