Post your desktops (with start menus open if you've got em), because as of now I'm not seeing a thread for it.

Nice and clean, just the way I like it. Using Starfish for the background, refreshing every 15 minutes. TClockLite for the taskbar.
J: has all my XP install and all the programs that need to be reinstalled after I do a reformat.
M: has all my music (64 gigs), movies/TV shows (95 gigs) and pictures (the rest of it).
S: has a good amount of my music as a backup that I'll clean up when I get a second 320 gig HD.
G: has all of my games (NES, SNES, Genesis, Arcade, ePSXe, Quake, SofF, UT and some more).
E: is my external drive that backs up a good amount of my tv shows until I get that second HD.

I find the cleanliness looks better when I'm not doing anything with my computer and it's just sitting there on my nice 32 inch wide screen. Also, considering that most of my emus don't really appreciate full screen on 720p, I'd rather have something nice to look at, which is why I use Starfish instead of my typical picture as on my iBook.

Quick note, the screen shot is from my computer on my regular 17" computer monitor because we've been using my TV for movies and cable TV a lot recently and I don't want my computer to get thrashed when we have a party and people miling around.

I had such a disorganized desktop at one point that I had to put everything in a random junk folder and start over.

I put program shortcuts in the top left, text files in the top middle/center middle, image files in the lower left, folders in the upper right, recycle bin in the bottom right.
Then it got messy again

and I have yet to clean it.

But...it doesn't matter now.

Why? Because I did "Task Manager > End Process > explorer.exe"

I use the command prompt to do stuff now.

Finally forced myself to clean my desktop. It's actually not much more organized than before - most of the files got dumped into Files or boourns. But at least it looks organized now!

I created the background with a program I wrote to teach myself some PHP.
