Are you aware that the developer of STARSW, after some initial consideration, released it to the general public under the condition of no secondary distribution and no support from his side?

Apart of the usual scolding you should get for a contentless one-liner of a post, here's a link to the relevant info. It's only two pages down too.

mikeyk: what are the ASM codes to make the rideable shyguys and tweeters act like their SMB. 2 counterparts?

what parts of the phanto code should I put for it to make a sound when it first starts to move and whilst its moving?

Also, what parts of the carryable egg code should I put for it to make a sound when it is being picked up and thrown?

Many thanks...

Introducing the classic Spiny...

The only real difference is that Mario can flip this one with a cape and then carry/kick the shell. I also fixed a problem with the classic Koopas not turning then they hit a wall. Get them here:

http://mikeyk730.googlepages.com/koopas.rar

Also some replies to messages in this thread...

mugengod2006: I responded to your email. In the future, please don't email me with sprite requests.

lwares: Please keep your requests in the ASM thread as well. While your requests are more reasonable, they are not things I can't answer off the top of my head, and thus take time.

mimic: I was working on Poochy, but I abandoned it. I didn't to tease you with the graphics file, I just accidentally copied it over when I was making the archive.

Carryable Spinies? Awesome. I think the only place I've seen such a thing was in JaSp's Some Usual Day. I know the Reverse Spiny isn't your sprite, but maybe it could also be modified so that it yields a cape swipable carryable shell now?

You're asking for ASM thus your questions should be in the ASM Requests thread.

By the way, mikeyk. Do Classic Spinies flip if they get knocked from standing on top of a turn block or brick block like they do in SMB3?

Shouldn't take too long to figure out, jsut get the sprite and insert it into a test ROM.

I should really get back into hacking SMW...

You're asking for ASM thus your questions should be in the ASM Requests thread.
Here is a question for anyone:
What is the difference between asking for a piece of ASM code to insert into a custom sprite and asking for a ASM code to be inserted into a hack?

Well the answer to my question is that I'm not requesting anything regarding inserting ASM into a hack!!! So this shouldn't be posted in the ASM/Custom Sprites/etc thread. (which ends up like every other request that gets ignored!) In otherwords, I am asking a simple but complicated question regarding inserting a piece of code into a custom sprite.

Now unless anyone wants this to become a arguement regarding over what is and what isn't a request or a question then, so be it!

You're asking for a modification to sprites.

That means you're making a REQUEST for ASM/CUSTOM SPRITES.

Take it to the request thread now.

Okay, just calm down Grey Mario.

You're correct I am asking for a modification to sprites.

Although, I am not making a REQUEST for ASM/CUSTOM SPRITES.

So, unless you want to take this to a higher authority then do so as this is now getting pointless!

1. You are asking how to modify a custom sprite. As such, you are asking for a piece of ASM.

2. "Asking" is a synonym for "requesting".

[. As such, you are requesting ASM to modify a custom sprite.

Logic, you ain't failed me yet.

No it doesn't, I'm asking a question (a few actually) not requesting!
