I was used to boards that where spammy and slightly noobish before I came to Acmlm's.

Hey, you registered exactly 4 years after me, to the day.

Acmlm's wasn't my very first board but it was one of my first. I posted at The Mushroom Kingdom and Challenge Games before Acmlm's (both around the same time, I can't remember which was first anymore). So my first post was either "Hi I'm new" or some basic SMB1 romhacking questions.

My first board was GameFAQs.

Over there, bumping is allowed. Back when I first joined Acmlm's, I thought they would have the same rules as GameFAQs so I end up getting in trouble for bumping.

That reminds me, I was one of those idiots who used that one program to fuck with AOL and some other dumb crap (Morpehous 3 or whatever, it's been way too long)

Needless to say, my first post was in 21-size font (guhhhh) and italics, and had some dumb anti-rightclick crap in it... I never made a layout for a while after that

Realllllly early on I used to capitalize random Nouns in my Sentences. I knew the proper Rules for capitalization and Things like that, but I still insisted on doing so because I was stupid.

I did a bunch of other stupid things which I'm too embarrassed to talk about, some of which has gotten me shunned from entire communities

I should add that anyone who still seriously uses the word "n00b" is probably such a thing themselves

I have always been very polite, well spoken, and careful on message boards.. even from the start. Kind of funny actually, because when I was a kid, people always thought I was some old fogie with my mature tone and correct spelling..

I actually gained a lot of respect that way on various different forums though.. So in a sense, my early development of maturity payed off socially.

I used a Dragonball layout to begin with. I bumped a thread that was half a year old or more. Those are the things I remember the most.

Going through old posts is something you really don't want to do. It's amazing how much less stupid one grows after just a few years, and being reminded of one's past like that is... not really desireable at all.

But yeah, apart from the generally retarded posts everyone seemed to make at the time, I somehow thought it was a good idea to release an SMW hack I hadn't even bothered playing once, and thus didn't know that it glitched up at the end of the first level. Leave hacking to the people who know what they're doing, kids.
I also somehow managed to land a staff position by begging Ace for it by PM. Hey, it worked
