So yeah... Tough it may not be named Triforce Island anymore, but you get it...
I found a partner and this is gonna be a team hack.
He's Albel. Dunno if he's registered here.

So far, I've ripped some GFX from ALTTP for the OW. No Link sprite yet, so I took this screenshots with Mario.

Actually, these screenshots are a bit outdated... Because I made the place more like a maze. But you get the idea.



BTW, this uses the free-roam OW, so you can explore more.
And you can actually read the messages.

That is great darklink. I love how you are using the RPG overworld - for a hack like that, it adds a really good touch. I'd be interested in seeing certain levels open up paths to other areas and such. - heck, you could hide some hidden levels in corner of the map and stuff.

I'm liking where this is going, keep it up.

That's pretty neat... though with how SMW's overworld works it seems like it'd be more like Zelda II's OW than Zelda III.

Lots of Mario paths everywhere, and a few byte changes to disable the beep and change the speed, unless I'm mistaken.

If possible I suggest disabling small Mario, if Link is going to be the hero. I like how this is going to be sort of Zelda II-ish. You should try to do some combination of ALttP and Zelda II ExGFX for the levels. Just throwing out some suggestions.

I am kinda visualizing 4 swords for the GC. You know, the platform levels in the tower or whatever.

Ack! Sry. I never played that game however.

But maybe many areas in this hack might be based on the underground in the Game Boy Zelda games (excluding Four Swords and Minish Cap).

Up to you. Unless somehow you can asm in that after two normal slashes, mario does a complete spin slash. That would be nifty.
