This was actually said on #ROMHacking.net (darkmyst.org)

<Anon9052> Well i can tacke a nes [apart] and put it back to gether

It makes me very sad that nobody else I know gets the crushing humor of this line.
DO YOU?

He didn't put "take" back together properly
He did take "together" apart
He can take it apart, but he can't put it back together right.

Do I win?

Shut it.

Just "No" would've sufficed.

the [apart] was because he missed the word and corrected himself on the next line. It's not directly part of the joke though.
The joke's not directly hacking related, but NES hackers would get the joke (if they see it)

No, they guy didn't know what he was talking about, but that only added to the joke.

So Mudkip stole my post for nothing...

He, uh. Used "a" instead of "an"?

He said "put it back together", instead of "reassembling"?

lol. No, that's not the joke - NES assembly was never mentioned in the conversation.
The entire joke is captured perfectly in that one line.

Taking an NES apart is virtually impossible? ... Wait. I can feel screws on the bottom of it. That's not it...

"Gether" is hacker slang, and he's putting it there?

He can take a nes, and put it back, to "gether"?

Yet "together" being separated implies he can't.

You're all missing the joke
The joke that, y'know, has to do with the NES specifically. The whole reason that it's hacker humor.
might as well throw in a hint to point you in the right direction.

Spoiler:
<Anon9052> Well i can tacke a nes [apart] and put it back to gether

I still don't quite get it, although I know the 6502 was the processor (and accompanying assembly language) for the NES.
