Seriously. I've been so much better off in terms of stress after I did so about a year ago. The only person who will yell at you at that point is yourself or whoever you have in your life.

Mine was simpler than that when it came down to it.

I knew everything about them and they didn't. Didn't take a genius to use their kid as a way to fix a comp and not pay some non-BBB crapper to go through and fsck up their system for 500 or so dollars and do nothing to it.

That was fun when I was 14.

Last week, I had a dodgy encounter with a possibly bogus employer. I texted my mother and asked her to phone me as soon as she got home.

Meh. Hate phones anyways so I can kinda relate. Unless it's someone I'm really wanting to talk to, you're straight to my voicemail.

Don't like texting either for that matter. The only benefit that would ever prove for me if I had a plan for it would be if I got out of the network bad enough to drop calls but still be able to send texts since that doesn't require as much throughput as a call does.
