I go to bed pretty early during the week because my alarm for school goes off at 4:30 am. It's rare if I'm up past 10pm anymore. And I typically don't sleep through the night... I toss and turn for an hour trying to fall asleep, then wake up a few times during the night. It's frustrating.

On weekends, I stay up later if I don't have plans. But I babysit most Saturday mornings starting at 7:30-8am, so I don't get to sleep in that late. Which means an early night. Not to mention work, which generally makes me pissy and grumpy when I get home because people suck.

So... 2 sounds really grate on my nerves (well, among others, but not likely to have to deal with dental drills here). Constantly clicking a pen, and drumming on the desk with one. Care to guess which two behaviors I have to deal with when I try to go to sleep?

Once I'm asleep, I'm out for a while. But... until then, it's miserable.

(Add to this the fact that my roommate's evidently decided that a good time to sleep is from 2000-0000, then stay up until 5 or so... yeah. It's very sad that he stays up later than I do, seeing how I tend to be awake until 0200-0300. And that's on days I have class at 0800.)

Just so you guys know, I don't have a problem with people with aspbergers. I was just saying that I (and a few other people on the floor) think he has it, although he wasn't really tested for it or anything. What I'm trying to say is that I have a problem with the way my roommate acts, and I think that he acts this way *not* because of aspbergers, but because he never really left the house, and thus he doesn't have social skills.

The reason we thought he has aspbergers is because when he's in a conversation with us, he likes to talk about one single topic, and he'll want to keep jumping back to the one topic, whereas we like talking about a bunch of things. This was annoying when we were watching my friend play windwaker, and he kept talking about the original Zelda, and how it was better, and how this wouldn't happen in the original Zelda, and original Zelda this and that blah blah original Zelda. And he just kept going on and on about the original Zelda. And my friend (the guy who was playing) says that he knows someone with aspbergers that does that same thing (talk about one single topic for long periods of time).

Another reason I think he has Aspbergers is because when he starts a game, he usually plays no other game at all until he completely beats the game he was playing, regardless of how good or bad the game is. He downloaded Clock Tower, and did almost *nothing else* in his free time, but get all of the endings and see all of the cutscenes and stuff. Same with Cave Story, did *nothing else* in his free time but play that. Whenever someone else (usually one of my friends) is playing a game he likes (like Zelda or Cave Story), every time he sees them, he'll ask "so how are you doing in *game*", despite not quite catching on to the fact that that's not the only thing they do all day.

So basically, he has a tendancy to only be able to do one thing at a time. Like, he'll get ready to take a shower (as in undress, put his robe on, get his shower stuff ready), and as he's walking out, he'll see me playing a game or something, and he'll walk over to me and tower over me, leaning WAY CLOSE to read what's on the screen, etc, and he'll do that until I stop the game and tell him to go shower.

If I go to sleep before 11 PM, I usually end up waking up between 1 and 3 AM, unable to get back to sleep until around 8 AM. So, I usually go to bed around 12AM-3AM, and wake up around 10AM-2PM.

Luckily I usually work afternoon/evening.

Lately, I've been going to bed between 12AM to 1AM on school days because I can never fall asleep at 10:30 PM like I'm suppose to. I rather find something to do until I feel really sleepy than lie down in bed awake for an hour or two until I eventually fall asleep.

I like to stay up til 3 AM and sleep until noon. I get 9-10 hours of sleep when I can. Otherwise, for school, I often get 7 hours of sleep.

Given the chance, I can be like Snorlax. :p

If I may use a cliche, I sleep like a rock. It used to take me a long time to fall asleep at nights, but recently I've been able to fall asleep within five minutes of lying down. I rarely wake up in the middle of the night and often sleep through my alarm. Then my mom has to come and wake me up.

I love to sleep.

I have a lot of trouble with insomnia. It often takes 2 to 6 hours for me to fall asleep, but once I am asleep I usually stay asleep. I always end up waking up around 06:30 no matter how exhausted I am and no matter how little sleep I get though. I think I can subconsciously detect the first light of day or something.

When I have to get up early the next day for something (such as school) I usually sleep from 12pm-7am. My dog usually sleeps on top of my bed so sometimes she can make it hard to get to sleep. Other times I stay up until about 5am and sleep until whenever I want because I have no plans that day.

Bare minimum requisite of 4 hours anymore, that's because I'm usually working about 10 hours the next day on average.

Which is exactly what I did for today. :\

On days I have school, I usually go to bed after 2:00am, and I usually fall asleep clear after 3:00am. I then wake up at 6:30am, so it's usually 3 1/2 hours of rest for me.

On weekends, I usually go to sleep really late, like 2:50 to 4:00. I wake up when I do so, which can range from 7:00 in the morning, to 1:00pm. Though, I once went to sleep after 4:00am, and woke up at 3:36pm the same day.

Your school begins early enough that you have to be up at 6:30?

That's just torture.

That basically was highschool for me. It started at 7:30, I had to catch the school bus at around 7:00 (until I started driving to school, then I left at around 7:15). But I had to get up at 6:15 so I could take a shower and eat. Nowadays (at college), I found it's much better to shower before going to bed, so I can wake up later and not have to shower in the morning.

And yeah, torture it sure was, especially since I liked going to bed at 1.

I have a weird outlook on sleep... I'm not an insomniac... or at least I don't feel like I am. Personally, I believe sleep is a waste of time, and any waste of time is also a waste of life, and so on and so forth. I've thus conditioned my body over my high school years and now into college to be able to function normally with only 4 hours of sleep. I have no health problems, I get paid extra for giving plasma because my immune system is so good, I don't drink coffee or pop to stay awake during the day, I can just do it... no problem. My last checkup at the doctor had my doctor asking me how much sleep I get, and I told him 4 hours a night, and he was baffled how I could be so healthy compared to the rest of my peers... Plus only needing 4 hours of sleep helps big time in college.

I seem to get along fine on 6 hours of sleep, but with only 3 or 4 I start feeling like a zombie after a few days.

I always take showers at night. Taking them in the morning seems weird to me.

I have the worst sleep habits ever. Fucking college.

I usually start trying to go to bed at like 12, and don't end up asleep till like 2 or 3. Wake up at 830 or 845, and nap a bit during the day.

It's no fun at all when you're dead tired but just can't sleep.

That's nothing, I had to be awake at 5 AM before because I had to catch the school bus

It was even worse when you have to wait for a ride there, bleh...

I have Japanese at 07:45, so I have to get up by at latest 06:00. Is it worth it? Undoubtedly. Japanese class is the highlight of my day, and then I get to sleep-play in orchestra before I have to go to physics. For some reason I'm still 3rd chair. Must be someone's facile decision.
