Okay both of you shut up.

Consider this a warning; keep it up and it's a three day ban.

On the topic of ps3 exclusives, I'm surprised to see that PS3 got this.

I consider the PS3 to be a better deal with the price cut. Capcom and Konami are going a little overboard.

Heh, a friend of mine decided to get a PS3 2 weeks before the price drop. I don't mind Sony fanboys too much, but that was just plain retarded.

The price drop is a noticable difference, but isn't enough to get me to give a crap. I'll get a 360 after there's a bigger selection of new games, since anything good seems to go to 360 anyway.

Well the thing is that most of the games are on both systems. There are few exclusives between the two. And it just so happens that I'm not so crazy about the 360's titles.

I think that Sony never actually intended on winning the console race, they simply needed a Trojan horse to get there next generation high-definition disc format shoved down our throats.

Other horrible mistakes Sony made was using an untested type of chip, putting in too much new expensive technology, expecting idiots to go out and buy it no matter what the price.

The Cell Chip is good for math, but not good for gaming... in fact it's memory read speeds are crippled and thats why your not getting very much power out of the cell. If you look at the true screen shots of games compared to the CGI crap they showed at E3, the true screen shots look like crap. In fact the cell was so crappy they had to add in a GPU unit at the last moment.

Sony, you get what you give out.

The one area Sony has been vastly ahead on a few times is storage capacity. But it only matters if used well. An N64 port of Final Fantasy 7, 8, or 9 would've been cut down a lot. Now for the facts part:

PSone had ten times more per disc than N64, and unlike N64 could use as many as developers wanted. ~650MB+ vs. 64MB.

Similarly, PSP discs hold ten times the DS's current maximum. While no multi-disc game has been made that I'm aware of, PSP should be capable of it unlike DS. ~1.5GB vs. 128MB.

This is all in good, but with all the game developers abandoning the PS3 like they are, and coming directly to that Wii I already own, what's the point in owning a PS3?

(HINT: I already have a powerful computer, so it wouldn't be useful for that either.)

I believe there was one game that was supposed to be. I don't remember the name.

To be honest, I'm not being a fanboy.

I just hate dissers of it that can't back up their claims without looking at the facts of the matter. I'll just be laughing when people get their asses burned when Sony DOES triumph with all the negatives that people think they have.

And if I get burned for being wrong, guess what...I don't care. I just think it's hard to call someone that's been in the game long enough to know a cast out. Unless they become another Sega or something, Sony's still in for the long haul.

Not so much of a price drop, but a 'get rid of our old stock' sale:

DS is actually capable of up to 4GB per cart, and I don't know of any technical reason it couldn't support multi-cart games. They just don't want to make them that big due to the cost of making such high-capacity chips, but of course those costs are always dropping.

Hm.

I agree with Xeon here. The PS3 is more than likely intended to get a bunch of Blu-ray players out there.

Nice and convenient way to reword my post by taking out the fact that I will be laughing at the propoganda...not for the sheer fact of 'fanboyism'.

I going to get called a fanboy if I even so much as SUPPORT Sony these days...you don't seem to understand that. If I -don't- support sony...guess what...I don't get called a fanboy for liking the other systems out there especially since everyone's going WII OMG LIKE a bunch of fanboys.

Now ain't that interesting?

I've said before that it's almost like Sony is TRYING to lose this latest round of the console wars. This merely confirms that thought.

Hiryuu: Maybe Sony are in it for "the long haul", whatever that may be, but given their short-to-medium-term decisions (Say, anything after the release of the PSP), I honestly don't see how anyone BUT fanboys can continue to support them at present. :\

Really, I don't care if they cut their prices. I'm just not interested in the PS3. Non of its games seem to draw me to it, and even after the price cut it's still overpriced. I'm sticking with Wii and 360.
