The sims games always have a sex warning here. Of course it doesn't mean much as the games themself are 12+ usually. Although some of the expansions packs for the original game did reach a age rating of 15+, but it didn't hurt sales much ironically.
Personally, I think it's actually a good game for kids, as long they don't play it overly much of course... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I think the movie rating system on the whole is rediculous. Are they not aware of the rediculousness of society of these days?
Also, there's no taking into account how some kids are more mature than others. How are they supposed to get into a R movie if they're underage? Silly. |

I think the term "Theme" represents intense scenes. Some movies have ratings that are described as "strong thematic elements." I'm trying to think of a good situation that doesn't involve violence, but all I can think of are things like torture scenes. Those are a little bit more than just violence, because violence typically just relates to blood a gore, whereas a torture involves situations that are more malicious and cold hearted. I do agree though that it's entertaining to see R ratings that have descriptors like "Adult Themes." No shit, if it's R it's for adults and not kids so it better have "Adult Themes." |

America on the whole is pretty ridiculous.
The bizarreness of most of their systems over there is unprecedented. |

The thing I don't get about ratings, especially game ratings, is that people seem suprised at the content in games. The game will have an M rating for excessive violence and parents will be shocked when there child is popping zombies heads off with a shotty. I mean, what did you expect. Ah, whatever, I guess it just irks me how people in the government are always talking about saving the children when in reality the rating systems work well enough for parents to understand what is in a film/game/album. I mean, if you think your child is mature enough to handle a film with gross amounts of violence then that's your choice, but don't come bitchin' to me about it when that kid's having nightmares because you fucked up. |
