...You're even dumber than that Skitty, and that makes me sad.
Actually I'm feeling rather indifferent, but whatever. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Windows 2000 Pro with icon stretch isn't ever pretty. From left-to-right, top-to-bottom: USB Devices (Micro SD 512MB and 160GB MAXTOR external, currently) Volume Control Winamp Agent AVG Control Center Dial-up Networking (yah I sux zoaorormamgmg fuck you) Trillian Pro 3.1 Rainlendar FlashGet BridgeM1 (Currently Playing: King of Fighters 2002 - Turbulent Ground of Flame [Orochi Team '98]) You ought to see my Quick Launch bar. 27 icons. |

Trillian, Starfish, iTunes, network, sound, safe remove, wireless, nVidia (A little hard to read, transparency's up too high). Quick launch has absolutely nothing, because we all know that [windows key] > [R] > [program name] is so much quicker. Learn to use a keyboard and run command, it's so much better than a mouse. And for the better taskbar, the Dock Finder, Dashboard, Mail, Safari, Firefox, Adium, Skype, iTunes, PCSX, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand, iWeb, Adobe CS2 suite of apps(Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive, Bridge, Acrobat 7.0 Pro), Starfish, Quicktime, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, X11, Matlab, Trash |

Win2K + stretched icons = yuck. (hi Hiryuu) Left to right: Unplug or Eject Hardware, volume, network activity, CachemanXP showing free RAM, hp deskjet 5650 (remind me to remove that one of these days), ATI Tray Tools (replaces ATI's bloated control panel), Skype, Speedfan showing CPU temperature, clock. Aside from the utterly useless printer icon, I like to keep my system tray and background processes as clean as possible, using good ol' Regedit and my own common sense. ____________________ [citation needed] |

Blue shield: Kerio Personal Firewall. I have no router and use this just for monitoring outgoing network/internet traffic. Relying on software firewalls sucks anyway (it's like having a huge, fat cannon protecting yourself, but standing on unsteady soil which can be easily avoided by tunneling it). If I get more confident on configuring ports in Windows, I will remove it entirely. Or getting a router ... but, for a single machine only ? Umbrella: Status icon for AntiVir's on-demand scanner. Other than that, I don't like a too cluttered systray. The antivirus, firewall and network icon are shown always, as these three icons are the only important things I need to keep track about it (like, if the on-demand scanner suddenly stopped working or something similar). |

I am bored, so here it is. Speedfan ->Norton ->WirelessConnection ->WirelessConnection again ->Norton again ->non-existant LAN ->Volume ->SafelyRemovehardware ->Quicktime ->NVIDIA graphics-card settings ->Saitek controller configuration I have no idea why half those things are there, but they don't really cause any problems, so I leave them alone. ____________________ There are things I want to put here. Apache monitor, Used to have security centre warning (before I made it shut up) and it informing me that I had a update waiting until I got around updating recently. My Ubuntu Linux tray is even cleaner. Only GAIM and the networking icon. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
