Can I make the fireflower and cape use the same GFX and act like the mushroom exsept for the power-up it gives

Umm i want fire mario & cape mario but i want the fire flower and feather to act like a mushroom in motion after it comes out of a ? block and have the same GFX...

I can do the GFX but not the asm to make the sprites move like a mushroom.

So you want them to (only?) move like the Super Mushroom does? And you want them to look like mushrooms too (rather, mushroom recolors)?

yea umm mainly because my game takes place in the Fungi Regions.
The power- ups must be the same as the fire flower and feather.

You can make the feather and fire flower look like a super mushroom by using Lunar Magic's 8x8 graphics editor or by using a graphics editing program like YY-CHR or TLP. As for making them act like the super mushroom, that will require ASM which I have no idea how to do.

These instructions are a bit loose but it should be enough.

1 - Go get sprite tool
2 - Go read the tutorials included with sprite tool as well as you can
3 - Use tutorial sprite 2b
4 - Remove wherever that says to hurt mario and replace it with something that changes the powerup variable (SMWCentral has a RAM map)
5 - Go get block tool
6 - Make one of those generic sprite-holding item blocks (these existed at some point, I think they're in there)
7 - Make the generic sprite-holding item blocks pop your new sprites out
8 - Use these blocks to pop out your new shrooms

umm... what the hell does the damn tutorial even mean...

hello i dont know anything about asm. so where would i begin? im sure there is a variable that i could change with a hex editor to take the offset for the mushroom movements and insert that infermation in the offset for the fire flower and feathers movements.
