Yeah, it starts with those five or so notes, then it's a 5 second pause and the rest of the song. That's probably why you guys thought there was nothing else.

On the WinAmp/SNES Plugin I used to use just played the intro to the song you posted and stopped playing instantly.

I think it depends on what you use to play SPCs

Edit: Also, with what I'm using at the moment there is no volume problems and you can look at a SPC in detail by disabling the channels.
A major disadvantage is though it does not convert SPCs to anything like WinAmp does.

hey, I have 2 questions about the custom music

1.With music patches and now people making custom songs, can a music patch and customized spc's coexist without conflict within a rom ? example ? clean rom---> old DW music patch or MATT's patch---> hack with music patch and OW custom music. is it possible added with other graphics, asm and other modifications ?

2.does sombody have all 28 instruments named in SMW ? it would make easy on me to know which instruments I'm editing along with looking at the original midi's instruments being used for that song.

also S.N.N I managed to get about 3 spc's working out. except that I have to important one txt file at a time instead of all 5.

The custom SPCs use SMW's pre-N-SPC music format, while the current music patches use SMAS' N-SPC format, meaning that they would conflict.

Mind posting the spcs, or PMing them to me? I'd be interested in hearing what you made.

I'll host one spc tomorrow afternoon, when I get home from work.
however I'm having a very bad problem with getting OW tool to accept more then 1 music txt files also if I do it one at a time it will only put one song in the game and erase what was previously inserted, now the ones that were premade that came with OW tool works fine but this is fuckin crazy right here.....

Yeah, I know exactly why that happens, and it's either one of two reasons, or both.

1) The song is too big.
2) The octaves are messed up. I believe it is this one .. when you type the command, does it give a whole bunch of numbers with ??????? lines next to them, and then it stops inserting?

#2 is due to have o7s or lower than o1s. It's something I deal with quite regularily when editing the songs. To fix it, you'd have to go through the channels and do all the stuff manually. Not fun stuff, but it will sound nice in the end.

I finally broke down and wrote a tutorial on using the OW music editor. This should eliminate all questions, as they are answered in here:

And before anyone asks, no, Freewebs is bitchy about zip files.

I wasn't interested in trying this until a tutorial came out, and I have to say, this is EXTREMELY easier than I expected. I'll be up all night tonight!

You said you were going to post the updated versions of Worlds 1, 2 & 3 from Yoshi's Island.

If so where are they?
S.N.N. Would be possible to know when you are going to update and post these beacuse, you said you would but I haven't seen them yet!

Many thanks...

Actually, I meant to mention that. You said W1 was perfect, so I left that, and tweaked W2 and 3. However, I couldn't do much with the drum channel in W2, so it'll have to be a "take it or leave it" situation

W2
W3

Hope they are alright .. if you like them, I'll put up the txts.

A new version of the addmusic has been released. I haven't tried it out, but the site says you can now add level music. Details in Japanese here

Other than the P-Switch music won't stop playing anymore, it's awesome. I tried it already. It has some nice songs in it, too.

This is beautiful - absolutely beautiful. It's time to have some fun.

Also, for those who haven't seen yet, I made a patch with 7 ported songs in it for the OW .. Linky

I used the inserter, looks like it inserted fine, but LM says the rom doesn't have a header... even though it does in a hex editor.

Any help here?

Worked fine for me. What size was the ROM you inserted it to?
