We must fight for our right to have a burger with non-frozen beef!

The burger shown at the end of the commercial made me hungry.

More recent commercials are better.

I've seen this commercial so many times, I actually forgot how it went.

What we need is an English interpretation of the Japanese The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past commercial, or the Mario Kart DS one.

I like Wendy's, but that commercial is dumb.

I don't understand how repeatedly kicking a tree is like eating a a hamburger made from frozen beef.

my sentiments exactly, we should be eating hamburgers made from frozen tree not beef. I don't understand how you could eat beef anyway. People weren't meant to eat such unnatural things, see, bark just digests naturally for us. Why fight it?

did our forefathers eat meat and vegetables? No. They art wood. Dirt and wood.

And yes, I am completely sane (in the bizarro world at least...)

It's called a metaphor.

Wiki it.

I, for one, have the capacity to read into the symbolism of this commercial, and therefore am impressed by it.

And the burger.

I wish this house had more food O,_,O

Yes, of course its a metaphor. But its a stupid metaphor. It makes no sense. How does kicking a tree represent eating dried out burgers any more than any other random action? Opening and closing a book, picking up and putting down a pencil..etc..

Basically the metaphor is this. No matter how they try they just cannot bring themselves to eat a dry frozen burger. Just like they cannot kick down the tree no matter how many times they try.

That is all.

I don't think that's quite it. I'm thinking the comparison is intended to more be the amount of enjoyment one gets out of each respective action.

I was under the impression that the metaphor was

"just because everyone else is kicking a tree doesn't mean you have to kick a tree too".

Doesn't that make loads more sense?

Just because everyone else eats frozen burgers doesn't mean you have to join them.

And oddly enough all 3 are plausible.

That's one of the stupidest commercials you know? I envy you. That commercial is a Mensa meeting compared to some I know of.

I didn't like that commercial at all. Hot juicy burgers don't logically follow from a bunch of people kicking trees and a red-pigtailed guy's train of thought. Although I would take it over one of those God-awful Glomobi ads on Comedy Central any day.
