Something's wrong with my Wii's AC Adapter. Every time I turn on my Wii, it shuts off seconds later. This first happened when I was playing NHL 06 the other day. Is my Wii overheating or something? Any help would be appreciated. |

When you say it turns off, you mean it goes back to yellow or red light or dies completely? |

It's probably the adapter then, or your fusebox. You could check it with a multimeter to make sure it's putting out the right amount, and/or try it in another room. |

I would guess the adapter, since my TV is plugged into the same outlet and works fine. Same goes for my CD player. |

That doesn't rule it out. Sometimes half an outlet works while the other half doesn't. You may also be overloading the circuit, causing brownouts, or there may be noise or spikes that the other devices aren't freaking out over but are enough to trigger a protection circuit in the Wii. (N64 at least had a very sensitive protection circuit, that would kill the system for ~45 minutes if you e.g. shorted the controller power lines.) |

Considering it only started happening last week and I've had my Wii since christmas, I wouldn't think that would be the problem. |
