Something like 18 degrees C is good for me, but I'm perfectly comfortable at 10C. I have very little tolerance for heat, and am often sweltering when other people complain that it's too cold.

Also, just because someone happens to live in the USA doesn't automatically mean they prefer Fahrenheit temperatures. I live in Michigan and prefer using not only Celsius but also grams, metres, litres (note the correct spellings of those last two), and so on.

Saying that "metres" and "litres" are correct spellings are saying that "centre" and "colour" are correct -- they're just variations of the same word, and "meter"/"liter" are just as correct.

And while I'm sure you're nice and happy using your metric units, be prepared to have to calculate back to our format whenever you want to talk to someone.

I'd guess I prefer around 16°C myself...

On the topic of British/American spellings, I have very mixed preferences.

colour, neighbour etc. > color, neighbor etc.
center (geometry) > centre
centre (building) > center
meter, liter > metre, litre

And, yeah, imperial measurements suck.

It depends where you are. Colour in Canada, color in USA.

Technically, the correct measures would be the ones of the SI... So temperature should be expresed in K... But as most of people does not care about the absolute 0 in their daily life...
