There is no "2chan". There's 2ch, and Futaba-chan. One is the real "2chan", the other is the Japanese board that 4chan cloned.

you know what i always found funny is how people look at japan as some safe haven with a blessed culture and incredible society, then you hear the same people talk about how low and despicable 4chan is.
nevermind that the idea of it came from 2chan, THE japanese website. i've met people from all over the world online but 0 of them live in japan. some japanese people are so isolationist that they only post on 2chan, i guess.
2ch actually has interesting discussion, quite often I find a japanese friend of mine reporting (quite useful) information he found there recently

4chan is just people posting penises and porn

there is a very large difference

there is a very large difference
4chan occasionally produces things of worth, but it's very rare. They're pretty much an entire community dedicated to the ideals Tyler Durden was espousing in Fight Club. They're iconoclasts and self-destructionists, but that occasionally leads to some pretty impressive things.

I quite enjoyed the thread in /b/ a while ago with detailed instructions on how to rob from every major franchise in America.

It's ok, the Japanese tend to judge us westerners as inferior long before they ever actually meet any of us, so it won't affect their bias at all.

To all the wapanese "Japan is superior and I will move there once I have the money and be supremely happy": I hope you enjoy 16 hour shifts 6 days a week and being treated like shit just because you're not asian.
