New thread for this because of some double post rule in the ATS thread.

Brain Device Moves Objects by Thought

And of course one group is working to use this technology in TV remotes. As if you weren't lazy enough, now you can change channels without even moving!

Thank goodness! Now I don't have to put the effort into moving my index finger 1/2 inch to press a button.

I imagine they'll make a smaller cap eventually, because that thing on your head would probably get annoying.

You know, if you're in a hospital and physically unable to press a button, you're probably really bored. I'm sure HyperHacker feels the same way about this. On the other hand, if you are physically able to press a button, why should you wear a heavy helmet when you use much less energy just pushing the button?

One use I could think of this is a sort of "CPU usage meter", but for your brain.

Now that would be interesting.

Yes, there is definitely use for this for disabled people, as mentioned in the article. I had to have the nurses operate the TV controls by calling them by pressing a button with my foot, and it could take them up to 45 minutes to arrive, since there were so few of them and they had more important things to do.

Xk, I like the idea, but I'd hate to be the guy selling them. "Dur, I want a refund! It always says zero!"

They're working on some type of headband, the article stated. Just get a mullet, a deep/rough voice, and you become a powerful-thinking Solid Snake or something.

This is great. Something new is happening again, and it doesn't have to do with global warming ono.

I bet trivial things will descend from this, such as a device that controls something with one's pulse.
