LOL! Just notice how people react when it starts playing mario.

It´s quite cool.

Btw, using this as a weapon and hear it playing Mario tunes. People would be so suprised that they´d stop running and get hit.

Musical weapons... New warfare tactic.
I approve!!!!
When it plays with synthesizer qualities we do have a perfect musical instrument, although I am surprised right now as it is.

Quoth the annoying cat that changed gender during translation: "That's so cool!"

...Are there instructions for making one? I'm sure I can find something to make one with.

That's pretty cool... Sure, the melodies were not 100% accurate, but that doesn't affect its awesomeness.

I love how everyone cheered for Mario. I don't know what the first and last tunes are...

Edit: Thanks, Trapster... How did that happen?

A small correction in your post.

NightKev only mentioned Tetris and Mario but I´m sure I heard other tunes aswell.

I'm both surprised and happy that the people cheered for Mario. This could become a pretty popular instrument, it produces both good sounds, and it has a visual effect that naturally goes along with it. I also don't know what the tunes before Mario were, anyone that does?

I heard music played by a MRI before, which is basically a huge coil. << The sound is a bit rough and deep though.

Well i'm not really that surprised by it though. Remember that speakers make it's sounds by the coil inside and... Although I admit, that's a kinda cool sound it makes.

Acmlm's Tesla Coil! It plays Acmlm's ME Mario!
When you get the money and equipment to do so, remember to make it in California . Or make more than one, then we can have one in Canada (for Acmlm), Germany (for bh), Nevada (for Xkeeper), and California (for everyone else ).

In that case, we'll put one in each state, + Germany and Canada.

I'd be willing to build the Washington (state, not D.C.) one.

Let's see, I'll need wires, high voltage TV parts, and...

Uhh, how does one go about finding instructions to build a musical Tesla coil, anyways?

You modulate the resonant frequency from a separate control unit.

This means very little to me, but you should understand it if you're making tesla coils in the first place.

The one in the video has a fiber-optic line running from it to a control unit (probably somebody's laptop) which is telling it which notes to play.

Slightly more official (and bigger) link of same video
