I use the XP Pro beta's theme "Watercolor" set to Ergonomic.

Focus on the title bar

I just use the default Luna theme. Not because I like it, but because I'm used to it.

I use the Media Center theme. I've tried other ones using a patched uxtheme.dll, but I'm so used to this one that all the others I tried just looked strange. I'll stick with this one.

but I always thought the coolest part about linux is how you can pick it apart and make it your own...

It probably would be a little less dull if you changed the icon spacing to fit that grid.

Windows Classic with no changes, anybody?

If I could make it look like windows 3.11, I'd take a screenshot.

What the WTF, Xkeeper? Neither 100-75 nor 100-80 is greater than 90.

I always use classic theme on Windows, but my computer has been resetting it to XP theme lately, which I hate. With Linux I'm just using the default Mandriva theme right now, I may change it...

Ah yes, Beryl. People seems to be crazy over it. One of my classmates showed it, neat but seems to mostly be eyecandy. Although the spinning cube thing is quite neat. :V

Beryl is pretty, but that's about it. I found it to be a resource drain, and in a good amount of builds, rather unstable.

For what I'm using now, on my Linux box it's this. Yes I whipped up a GTK theme. For my Windows laptop, it's just Windows Classic with different blue shades in the title bar.

Beryl is another one of those things that almost looks cool until you realize how entirely useless it is

If I wanted to see what was on the next workspace i"d hit ctrl+alt+down and be there in a split second without having to restrict how much screen space is used resources etc etc. It would be different if instead of a cube in a montior; it was a cube with monitors on every side

Yeah, I never saw a point to the whole 3D window manager idea. I mean, using the available 3D hardware to accelerate rendering and maybe even do some simple effects that don't take any extra CPU power is one thing, but we don't need spinning cubes and thick windows and translucent everything.

When you have resources... why not use them... I mean what's the point of having a sweet graphics card, tons of ram, fast processor, if you're only going to use it to play games with, plus I like the black translucent window borders... they look pretty bad ass.

And I've never had Beryl crash on me once, and I find the cube pretty handy.

Why, to multitask, encode video, and perform other system-intensive tasks of course.

I can do that too... no problem... guess I'm taking too much advantage of my resources.
