May I ask exactly what OpenPoke is? What exactly would I play/edit? Is this a stand alone game coded for the PC? Is this a gamemaker type of application designed to make your own pokemon style game?
It obviously looks phenomenal and very very tempting to try out, what ever it may be. I'm not saying I will or wont donate money, but to what would the donations go towards? Server space? Liscencing? Tasty snacks? Its pokemon. Therefore I am very interested. *Raises one had while other hand clutches DS* reads a couple posts down....yikes..maybe i should put my hand down |

May I ask why you did this, Kawa? When I specifically told you originally I didn't even want people to KNOW about it until the project was near completion? And here you are offering demos? I really wish you had, you know, asked me about this, being as this was originally MY project that you just happened to take interest in and eventually take over, to the point where people even think its YOUR damn project. It hasn't even been able to go in the way I've wanted it since day one, since you keep making changes here and there, even though I tell you I'd like it to be a certain way.
I mean I wouldn't even mind but you know. This was supposed to be a peice by peice replica of a Pokemon engine, 100% to the original. Not "unnecessarily change things here and there because I think it will be 'better' thus making it uncompatible with all of the original resources". And then you go and pull this. I mean....seriously. If you wanted the damn project so bad then why didn't you just ask, man. Yeah, I appreciate all your help with it, I do, but you've really taken over to the point where you might as well just claim the whole damn thing as your own, I don't even get a chance to work on it anymore so you know what? Fine, its yours, I don't care anymore. Like I said I don't even get a chance to work on it anymore being as you just seem to do all this crap yourself. Seriously, I just can't believe you did this, and behind my back no less. You knew how I stood on this. But you did this anyway. Whatever, I should have expected this to happen

Regarding compatibility with the original resources, I'm taking extreme care to keep data in the same format, breaking my proverbial neck in researching the originals! Traps....not helping.
I'm aware what you have put in to the project and I do appreciate that, I really do, but the fact remains I'm a "lousy project leader", despite whether or not you care, because a) This was supposed to be a side project that I would take up in my spare time, as a bit of a personal lesson to myself in the realm of programming as well as a chance to provide something useful to the community. I simply don't have THAT much time to work on it. and b) You do all the work yourself, as I stated, and I don't even get much of a chance to do anything with it given my limited time and the very fact that you just do all the work anyway. Honestly its not that I don't appreciate your collaboration, and maybe I'm blowing things way out of proportion because I've had a hell of a day and am stressing over even the littlest things but....like, seriously, there's just been something about this that all along hasn't settled well with me. And I'm just the kind of person to keep that stuf inside but I end up making an ass of myself by going batshit when this kind of thing happens. Just...whatever, I don't care anymore. Please don't take offense, as I said, it was NOTHING personal. At all. What so ever. edit: Not delivering? As I said its because this was supposed to be something to do in my spare time. When you were originally helping wiht the project you had given me some bare bones sprite walking on a screen and I figured you would just be assisting in adding on to it in the spare time in which I would work on it, but you rather took it upon yourself to go about the entire project. Again, not that I don't appreciate all the effort and work you've put in to it, that's besides the point. It was originally my project and it just sort of....went far away from ever being that. |
