Basically it's okay.

IT COMPUTES THINGS.

But, seriously, this is my computer, "MASTERSWORD":
Pentium 4, 3.40 GHz
1.0 GBs of RAM (needs more RAM)
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 and TV tuner stuffs

Drives:
A: 3 1/2 inch floppy drive, lol
B: There is no B.
C: "Local Disk", 298 GB (253 GB used), actually one volume over two "160 GB" HDDs. That's how the computer came set up, and I was too lazy to undo it.
D: DVD burner
E: DVD drive
F: Memory Stick slot (did I mention it's a VAIO? )
G: Compact Flash
H: xD-Picture Card
I: SD/MMC
J: Virtual DVD drive
K: "Big Disk", 698 GB (192 GB used), actually a "750 GB" HDD. Why can't the numbers be true?! WHY?! KHAAAAANNNNN!?
And sometimes L: My 1GB thumb drive. (Deku Stick).

Yeah, all my tech is named like that. My old computer (now running Linux and used for homework in my CS classes) is dekushield, and my Linksys router is gossip_stone.

"Big Disk" is pretty much just used for anime, and only complete stuff. I've got a number of series on "Local Disk" right now that I'm just waiting until I finish watching before moving over, so when that's done the used space numbers will shift quite a bit.

I have a pretty normal computer. Glitchy keyboard though...
C: My main man (woman? thing?). Lots of old videos take up most of the space and there's some roms and a smidge of music.
Nothing else. No other drives that aren't the CD drive or the recovery drive.

My computer has like 55GB storage space, but I always seem to run out of space all the time

That's because they use the decimal based units, while we normally see binary based units in Windows ... 750 billion bytes is 698GB, so there you have it

- Pentium IV 3.2GHz
- 2GB RAM (originally 1GB, which was just enough for my needs and multitasking)
- 149GB disk space, 100GB free (will go up a bit once I take the time to copy some of my stuff to DVD-R's)
- ATI Radeon X700 (good enough for me, I just didn't want crap onboard)
- 19" LCD screen running 1280x1024
- Windows XP SP2

I got mine in December 2005 for cheap, it's not too bad even now ...

Almost half of my used disk space is ROMs, and that's with a lot of old crap dating back to 2002 still on my computer

Hmm. My compy probably isn't quite up to standard, but it gets whatever job I have done well enough. I'm not too clear on the specs, but what I do know:

70 GB across two drives(one 50 gb main drive and one 20 gb "backup", which is just what I use as my official WoW drive). Mostly full due to existence of three MMORPGs which use about 10GB each.
Plasma screen... 17"?
RAM is... subpar. Probably 256 MB, which causes problems at times.
Lasers are mounted on the top, and the speakers have fangs.
OS is Windows, but I'm considering reformatting and making it run Windows and Linux because apparently that will help.
It is said that Chuck Norris's blood was used while making it, since it was assembled during that fad. So it might very well be the most badass computer in existence despite being a bit below standard.

I know, I just wish they were really what they claimed they were, just so I could say I have more than a terabyte of space

Got it for £50, second hand last year.

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT
DVD-R/RW
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Soundblaster Audigy

2.09 Ghz
768MB RAM

Pretty good for £50.

And I've also got a 21inch LG LCD monitor, which cost me £120.

The bad news:

1.0GHz Pentium III - motherboard maximum
192MB RAM - run off a 128/64 PC100 combo. Yes, it's running offset and no I can't run PC133 in this without page faulting or registry faulting.

The okay news:
Second hard drive, MAXTOR DiamondMax 9 60GB hard drive - 3 years old.
Third processor fan - mean for 3.0GHz processors
Currently using a Sony CFS-1035 boombox for sound output

The decent news:
18x Mad Dog DVD Triple Format writer - Ironically, I can't hold above 2x with my specs but it's a good piece for a newer computer when I'll buy one.
256MB RADEON STEALTH 9250 PCI card - Very good upgrade for someone who can't find PC100 RAM anywhere for a good price.

It's got a second modem in it, some Creative Labs one, that's being used. Ethernet works fine but hasn't been used since I had DSL up north. No USB 2.0 slots unless I put a hub in it, unfortunately. I can't really think of anything else other than the fact that my hard drive is more the half full of media (anything music/video oriented).

I have several.

The one I'm using now I just got about a month ago:

Athlon X2 5200+
Radeon X1950 XTX with 512MB ram
250GB Sata drive
2GB 800Mhz ram
20x DVD burner

It's also got a ridiculously old IBM mouse and keyboard, bulky 19" CRT monitor and a floppy drive I took off the carcass of another computer (although I just got a new one with built in flash card readers I just have to install it). It's running Windows Server 2003 x64. It also has Windows Vista Ultimate installed, but it isn't working. Eventually when I get the time and ambition I'll install Fedora, Ubuntu, Windows 2000, and make an attempt at Mac OS X.

Under my TV I have a computer that I've had for about a year and a half now:

Sempron 2800+
512MB PC2100 ram
160GB hard drive
2 TV tuners
Extra sound card (beside the onboard)

It's running Knoppix, and MythTV. I made a custom case for it. I have pictures, maybe I'll post them some time (probably not).

I also have a laptop I got about three years ago, that used to be my main computer until I got this one (now it just sits in the corner blinking):

1.8ghz Athlon
512MB PC2100 ram
Airlink pcmcia 802.11g card

It has some sort of mobile Radeon but its a good five feet away, and I can't be bothered to go check exactly what model. It's running Windows Server 2003, with Windows 2000 installed as a backup.

I'm not done yet. I also have a file server:

Intel Celeron 2.26ghz (Only Intel I own)
196MB of PC2700 ram
4 250GB Sata drives (On a raid controller, but I haven't set one up)
1 250GB IDE drive
No keyboard, mouse, or monitor

If you can't guess this thing is mainly for storage. It's running Windows Server 2003.

I also have a 1.6ghz Duron system I turned into a game console with thousands of roms built in. It's running Windows XP Jacked, with a custom gamepad controlled interface (written in Perl, believe it or not), and custom case. I'm going to give it to my sister.

In case you can't tell, I'm a huge nerd. Actually you probably stopped reading a paragraph in.

Well, he's a bit of a twat. I dont think he knew just how stupid it was to sell it to me for £50. It has a 120gb hard drive aswell.

<!--stupid center and width hack-->
I have three main computers, but I only really use two at the moment.

Two are Macintoshes, and these are what i use the most. I have an iBook G4 and a Intel Core Duo Mac Mini.

I also have an Athlon XP 3000+ but it hates me and so I hate it right now.

Shitty computer from about 2003, needs upgraded bad, but I don't have the money for it. Don't mind the graphics card, my old one just suddenly died all of a sudden and I had to grab a cheap-ass spare that was lying around. NO MONEY.

I'm about to install a new hard drive soon, but the thing is, I'm far too lazy to reinstall Windows and backup and reorganize and all that shit. Also, about ... 8 GB on drive C: are dedicated to Linux, which I hardly ever use and which is mostly for experimentation. Hooray!

And yes, I'm running Windows XP home too. Feel free to mock that as well.

I should also add, outside of some emulation, I'm not much of a PC gamer.

That happened to the power supply in my computer. I bought my computer at a pawn shop for about 20 bucks.(its about the size of a shoe box)

Anyways, one day I was intensely hacking Zelda II, and *BOOM* it exploded.

Now I have this normal sized power supply, that is too big to fit into the case, sitting on top.

I built a computer a few months ago but it kept malfunctioning oddly. The fans would shut down at random and the display would sometimes flicker extremely fast in horizontal lines. I'm guessing it's a problem with the power supply as it was fairly cheap. So I bought an eMachine at Best Buy for $400, which is really lousy and slow and the DVD drive doesn't work half the time, but at least I have a computer.
