I read up some Japanese Mythology and decided to draw something like that.
Experiment with Brush tool on Flash, since 99% of my other drawings consist strokes.
So yeah, this has been made completely with the brush tool \o/

I don't know what the Japanese symbol means. I created a topic on another forum asking for random Japanese symbols so I could make this guy look cool.

I'd have to say that's カ. (Katakana "ka.")

Here, have a cool randomly selected one: 嫌

嫌 (adj, n) "いや" ("iya"); disagreeable, detestable, unpleasant, reluctant.

Or keep it the way it is.

The Katakana ka is identical to the Kanji riki, for strength or power.

Japanese I have no idea, but I could explain that "力" in Chinese means Strength I think you could assume its the same in Japanese since both language got a lot of similarities Afterall, you could find that word in most RPG game

Yeah, my guess would have been the "power"-力 as well...
Also, you can't exactly say Japanese and Chinese have "a lot of similarities", since, as languages, they could hardly be more different from each other. Japanese vocabulary just is 60% Chinese loanwords... (It would be naive to assume French loanwords make English similar to French, wouldn't it? )

Also, what's that thing supposed to be, a Kappa? (I've seen depictions of those quite similar to what you made)

It isn't a Kappa, but I got an inspiration off it.
