We have seen them before, scams and such. But this is different. It's not a chain thing or anything. You just complete surveys and get points and get free shit! They have 100% free ones, a shitload, and they are always adding more. They have everything from Wii 2000 points cards to Wiimotes to WoW time to whatever else.

Don't believe it will work? Friend got a classic controller and a Wii Points card from them =\

Here's the link, go nuts

Hmm...

...sounds...like it might work out.
I'll try it.

How are you doing on it?

This had better not turn out like the whole mywii4free.com thing or whatever...

It's not. And unless you want to sit there and do every single offer they have, you arent getting any consoles off this website. Seriously, just go for the Wiimotes and points cards.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a PSP or another DS (insurance for dismantling)...

But I'll just go with a Wiimote or card.

On second thought... Screw this. Too long, and seems unsafe.

There, I clicked your link for you. Knowing how all of the OTHER "get stuff for free" schemes usually turn out, I'll pass.

I'm inclined to agree with Drag here. Recently on G4 I have seen this commercial that advertises a "free" XBox 360. I love when the guy says "no gimmicks" or whatever. I went and checked out that site, and you have to precisely follow a bunch (I mean, a bunch) of different offers and deals. If even one of those offers is done wrong, the whole thing is null and void. There is no such thing as free stuff -- there has to be a catch somewhere. I think the site is www.tvfreexbox.com or something. I'm worried though that by filling out those surveys, you are on a bunch of lists.

Which is PRECISELY why I don't do this crap. I like to keep my personal information personal, thanks.

(and don't tell me "oh, you can just use a free e-mail address and a fake name, blah blah blah," because I'm sure you have to give a real street address if you want to actually get anything)

III. OFFERS
...
5. Users must try only those offers in which they have a legitimate interest<. If a user is found, in Dietzel and Dietzel's sole discretion, to be in violation of this provision, his/her earnings will be forfeit and his/her account disqualified.
6. Users must provide valid information when signing up for offers. Falsifying information for offers is grounds for account or offer credit disqualification.

I believe this speaks for itself.

Firstly, this:

A user's account may be disqualified and his or her earnings forfeit in, but not limited to, the following cases:
...
5. He/she posts instructions for canceling any offer, a walkthrough, or any other type of tutorial or suggestion on a website. This includes but is not limited to: instructions on completing a specific offer, suggesting an offer based solely on its payout, or including cancellation web addresses or telephone numbers.

You'll get more than just a Wii remote from them. Much more.

Then, this:

"Many anti-spy ware programs give you the false sense of protection by deleting "tracking" cookies as they come in, but in fact are protecting you against nothing."

They're working with the advertising companies at a deeper level than most "companies."

My favorite part:

"Dietzel and Dietzel (hereinafter referred to as "Parent")..."

And, worst of all, this:

"Why was the offer I completed denied?"
1) You are already in the sponsors database.
a) Your name
b) Your Email
c) Your address
d) Your Phone number
e) or IP Address

They do know where you live.

That's funny, because for all 5 offers I have done so far, I have faked information, names, and adresses (5 PoopieMcPoop Rd. is common) and still gotten points. So uh, no? You're wrong. And again, this isn't for systems seriously. My friend got a god damn Classic Controller and 2000 points card from them, that's all the proof I need at least.

They're asking for my phone number, and while my parents would appreciate me receiving free stuff in the mail, I doubt they'd appreciate me getting them random phone calls from advertisers or from Dietzel and Dietzel trying to get me for having them send junk mail to 5 PoopieMcPoop Rd.... Or can you fake the phone number? I could really use a Classic Controller, or if I could be daring, do as much as I can and try for a handheld.

lol blank cell
I've signed up, but I haven't bothered doing anything. It'd be much easier to mow a lawn or two to get the money I need to buy a controller or points than to spend countless hours filling out surveys trying to get free stuff. It's not worth it.

Fake the phone number, or make it your cell.

Meh, I'll take one for the team here. I mean seriously, I actually DID get a Wii by doing one of those "Pay for all these offers and get a Wii" things... well I got a check for $249.99 which I used to buy a Wii, so I'm not splitting hairs. So after doing that, too many people already have my personal info, so eh, I don't care if a few more do. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Pft, I make too much money to need to get anything for free.

So how do they know where to send this stuff if they have a faked address?

I'm not denying that you can get free stuff from these schemes, I'm just worried that a lot of people are basically selling themselves to potentially shady companies for said stuff.

If it's true they send you what they can through email, then you could supply fake everything and create email addresses, free stuff, no info given.
