My dreams are usually random nonsense, but I may have realistic ones about things that are bugging me. After I broke my arms I was trying to contact someone, and nothing was working - I couldn't use an IM program and they weren't answering their phone. I dreamt one night that they called and I leapt out of bed and answered it and said what I wanted to say, etc. It was so realistic that when I woke up later, I was sure it had really happened, until I realized there was no way I could have leapt out of bed nor grabbed the phone in my condition. 
...Then I remembered that halfway through the conversation, the neighbour's garage exploded.  Obviously not real, especially since nothing outside (I watched out the window) looked like it really does. |

Me reading that post reminded me of another not-quite-realistic dream. It takes place in a building that is similar to my school, but with too many elevators and odd maroon-colored hallways here and there. It's extremely disconnected (I don't have any idea what order the dream-chunks are in) but two parts stand out particularly.
I'm in an elevator packed with people going up. There are large steel beams visible through the open door. Which opens outwards. Along the way up one steel beam completely rips off the door. A girl near the door says, "Whoops, looks like we lost the door!" I'm in a large rectangular room with many people standing around. The walls have odd curves ending about three feet up, made of wood. The room is very well lit. The wall farthest from me looks like it has an elevator door in the middle with a large 3 above it. Two halves of a wall start dividing the room in two squares. The wall looks like the elevator wall, but divided down the middle and with a 2 rather than a 3. The wall closes. We start going down. I enjoy my dreams, because many things are ideal for me.
For example, 'daytime' in my dreams is bright, sunny, pure, with emphasis on bright. 'nighttime' in my dreams is just normal night, but I still can see everything, as though there was some kind of a light source somewhere. Then there's this really strange 'time' in my dreams, where everything is tinted blue, and it's not really bright. To be honest, it looks exactly like a very early morning, but I never recognize it as 'early morning'. 'downtowns' in my dreams are lively, lit-up, flashy, etc. One of my favorite scenes was when I was outside in daytime, I was standing on a concrete sidewalk-styled ground (as in, there's the grid), and there's this large brick office building with windows. All around me is calm and clean. ____________________  |
