Thanks to Goldensunboy's information, I managed to successfully disassemble the data from the Creating/Eating Block sprite. I did some changes to it's data where it spawns tiles but it still works well.

You can now have custom paths while having the paths from the original sprite intact. All you need to do is read the format it uses and then you can see the path it takes.

Make sure it doesn't touch an object along it's path.

I'm a huge fan of the creating/eating block sprite and it's EXACTLY what I've been wanting for my hack. There's no telling what kind of levels you could make with this!

x1372, are you reading this? I remember an awesome level in your hack, Vengeance of the Koopa Kids, that used the eating block.

Now we're all waiting for a disassembly of all the hardcoded objects...

As you can see, the palette and the tile it creates can be changed.

Of course, Mario will need to stand on the brown "used" blocks so the Creating/Eating Block moves.

This may be a stupid question...but can you hack the sprite's GFX so it doesn't look like an original "used" block or make it create ExGFX blocks like the cement block from SMB1? You made it create SMW cement blocks but just gave the sprite a gray palette.

Just trying to earn a few extra bonus coins when there's not a whole lot else going on in SMW hacking

That's simple, just change these values:

BLOCK_TILE = $2E

$2E can be changed to any other value.

MAP16_NUM1 = $0132

$0132 can be changed to any other map16 value of the block in hex. That also includes custom blocks.
