Saitek P880. Best USB gamepad I've ever used, though they really need to do something about the clicky buttons. I stopped using my P220 because the buttons were so noisy.
I also have a PSX -> USB adapter, though it seems to be a bit laggy compared to the P880, and thus rarely gets used. Too bad. ____________________ [citation needed] |

Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB. I can also use the keyboard on my lappy for SNES, ^, <, >, v, Space (b), B (a), N (y), M(x), G(l), J(r). I definitely prefer the gamepad, though, and anythign other than SNES I *have* to use teh gamepad. |

I use my GC controller for most of my emulation. For everything I use the traditional WASD keyboard setting and mouse. ____________________ |

I only emulate Snes. Larger games, such as Playstation, I just play on my Ps2.
I used to map my keyboard like a Snes controller (and actually hold it like one, too ). A-NP6, B-NP3, X-NP5, Y-NP2. Start-Right Arrow Key, Select-Left Arrow Key Up-W, Down-Z, Left-A, Right-S (No L or R... which ruins the playability of the games that require those buttons) I would never go back to that. Now I use a Smart Joy USB Adapter which allows me to plug in my Snes controller. Using it also allows me to map misc. functions to more convenient keys on the keyboard. ____________________ |

I WANT to get the logitech cordless rumblepad 2 but i'm pretty much stuck with my sidewinder. I use the keyboard for most arcade games and use the sidewinder for like all ps1 games(castlevania chronicles and sotn, mega man x 4 and 5, fftactics, srw alpha, alpha gaiden), and some snes, nes, genesis, and other games. I also MUST use it for rondo of blood. The only problems arise when using the d pad. Especially when pressing down or up. |

Posted by TheLesserBlackDope6xI had a similar layout, except ABXY was HBTF, with L and R on R and Y respectively. But the B kept screwing me up, so I moved it to G, and it works great. |

Posted by BMF54123What he said. Except my P880 broke and I had to replace it with a P2500, which is the same but with a rumble motor no programs seem to notice. Though I find myself using the keyboard often anyway because so many emulators fail at gamepad support. FCEUXD can only use buttons, No$GMB can't use them at all, Nemu's pad support (like most every other feature) is retarded, etc. Come on people, this isn't so hard to implement. |

Currently a Logitech Precision. Usually I like this pad, though it breaks relatively fast to the more expensive models.
Before I had another Logitech Precision (), and ahead of that it was a Logitech Dual Action - which was great when I began playing. After two months - not intense - playing, the left analogue stick broke. The d-pad is very unprecise anyway. No way in even attempting good response while playing Tetris Attack or TGM2 Plus. I popped it open, applied some WD-40 on it; it held maybe some minutes until it was dead again. If they fixed that issue (read about this in several forums), it might have been one of the best pads ever, but if not, I cannot recommend it. |
