You have major issues in your top middle and middle right screens. And we need shots with more action in them or everyone will say it sucks.

Besides, the fact some screenshots are old is not an excuse... Making new ones doesn't take much time and lets people see what you've currently got, rather than commenting on old stuff.

Legomen stop with all the annoying watermarking of your images. Makes me not interested in anything you have hacked (even your Adventure of Lolo Remix which looked kinda interesting).

About the hack... It looks like there is hardly any enemies and very little structure thats interesting to your designs. And why exactly does a level with a cave like ground/ceiling have a forest background?!

Cave entrance in grasslands/forest? It actually is a nice concept, but it's not well executed... If he made the level itself right (I mean, fix the graphic clash, the pallete and the layout) then it might be an awesome level... But yeah as it's now, it kinda sucks...

Legoman, try to imagine how the level might look as a enough real thing, I reccomend using exGFX and custom palletes for that (or at least a custom background and palletes) and make it look as the image you picture in your mind...

I saw.

...I puked

This hack needs some serious work to look even conceivably good. Not trying to be harsh or anything, but play a few good hacks like Return to Dinosaur Land or TSRP 1/2 and learn what level design and palette aesthetics are before you make a thread on your hack.

On topic, your cave/forest screenie does kinda go together in a weird way--reminds me of the second level (?) of TSRP1. The palettes? Well, who said teal and brown are complementary colors? A little custom palette work would be nice.

And like everyone else said, hit Ctrl-Del before you make new levels and show screenies with some action in them. Empty screenies with screwy palettes and no ExGFX just don't scream "good hack."

Overall, it's pretty normal for a first crack at a SMW hack. The jury's still out whether this hack can come out decent. Keep practicing, and read LM's help file through at least once

My advice to all n00b hackers: Go cause trouble on SMWcentral or better yet, ||board--not here.

Legoman's been hacking for at least the past 3 years. That's the problem. He hasnt really improved at all, unfortunately.

No, no, no. Even with custom blocks and ExGFX, the level layouts would still be glitchy and boring. It's entirely possible (albeit difficult nowadays) to make a good hack without those things. It's all about fun level design!

I'm going to place my hat on the table and contend that it is entirely possible to create a fun level using just the solid concrete tile, one type of enemy, and seven screens. It's not what you use, but how you use it.

Not to jinx anything but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if the... "O-demon" appears in this forum soon. This just flabbergasts me.
